Chapter CHAPTER 32: The Power of Love

I requested Roy to take me to Lake Arcane. In a few moments, we were there, and he promised to come back for me. They were going to continue working at the site along with Archon.

He urged me to be cautious. "Be careful! This is an isolated spot and with Selene on the loose, there's no telling where we will encounter her. I'd like to say hello to Narissa as well. I'll wait till she's here."

I called out to her a few times and was worried that she may not show up. After the way she left the last time, I was afraid she would never see me again. When we finally saw her wade through the waters, I heaved a sigh of relief.

As she sprung up to sit on the banks, Roy and I gave out a collective gasp. She had changed. Narissa had metamorphosed!

Her scaly skin had given way to the normal, smooth, fair as milk skin of humans. Her modesty was now covered with interspersed leaves sewn together, like the nests of tailorbirds. We walked towards her with our eyes widened in amazement.
