Chapter 49: The Wiccans

I quickly clicked a picture on my phone to confirm later that I wasn't mistaken. Narissa and I exchanged flabbergasted looks and decided to shadow her.

We hung around hoping the group would disperse soon, and we could follow Selene. Thankfully, their meeting didn't last too long. In about ten minutes, they were ready to leave.

Selene (or was it her lookalike?) was exchanging words with each member before they left. When there were only two members remaining, we got another jolt! She was talking to Amanda, Narissa's half-sister.

Amanda did not leave. She waited till Selene finished talking with the last man waiting. All three of them left together. We followed them surreptitiously, till they reached a clearing with a narrow path. There was a small car parked, in which all of them drove away.

We turned back to where they had congregated, so we could return to our canoe.
