Chapter 48: Celebrations and Revelations

The day was a happy mix of tears and smiles, memories of the past and gratitude for reuniting. Narissa met her half siblings as well. There were two of them; both were married - Adam and Amanda. Both of them were called by Paul to meet Narissa. They seemed nice too and met her with warmth. Of course, it would take a while for them to feel like family.

Nevertheless, the gathering was pleasant and emanated positive emotions. They planned a picnic in the woods for the next day. I was keen to try out canoeing, which Ely was best known for now. And we fit that into our list of activities.

We were not allowed to stay in a hotel. Nora insisted we stay at the house. It was a two-bedroom cabin and one bedroom remained unoccupied as Paul's children were both grown up and married.
