Chapter 41: The Narrow Escape

Selene and the others left the room. We quickly got out from hiding and went to the secret room. Narissa was on a very basic hospital style bed and had her hands tied up to the railing at the head. She looked drained of energy.

As soon as she saw us, she perked up and a smile sparkled in her eyes. "Thank God you're here. She was trying her best to break me down to follow her back to the enchanted forest. I'm not sure what she's going to try next, but I would rather not be around to find out."

We untied her, grabbed an extra cloak from the wardrobe for her and got out of the secret room. "What next?" Steve wondered as we reached the first room.

As soon as he uttered those words, Daemon and gang returned. Before we could react, he had half a dozen of his disciples restrain us with a chokehold. Now all of us were led into the same secret space and tied up in different corners.
