Chapter 40: Cult Commotion
"Thank you, Daemon!" she addressed the cult leader. "You're a worthy confrere. I am happy to become associated with your Apollyon family."
She walked across to the Daemon and explained, "That girl there is going to help me reclaim my supremacy in the Magus Forest. The pesky human, I believe, would serve well as your sacrificial offering. The other boys can join your devotees and help grow your tribe."
"You speak my mind, dear sister Selene," he nodded in reverence to her. "Walter, lock them up while I prepare for the ceremonial offering."
Walter tied our hands behind us and walked us through a hidden door ensconced behind a large tool shelf. The door opened into a small corridor that led into a small commune complex. The warehouse was just a faade to camouflage a secret cult domain.
