Chapter 28: Two Lonely Hearts

"We're joining Archon when he goes to Fairyland. Are you coming?" asked Roy.

"No, I'm going to the lake again. Please drop me and come to take me after a couple of hours," I requested.

With a sly knowing smile, he agreed. Gratefully, he didn't pester me with his retorts. Or they would all start teasing me again.

After everyone was ready to leave, Archon changed plans and said he'd drop me first. When we reached the lake, he looked around as if searching for something. Then asked me directly, "I don't see Narissa. You're here to meet her, aren't you?"

*Oh no! Am I that obvious?*

"Archon I enjoy the peace and quiet at this lake. That's why I come here. But...I'll be honest, having a little conversation with her is nice too." It was as inconspicuous as I could get without lying outright.

"All right! I'll leave you to enjoy your time here. Roy will come and get you later." He flew back towards Fairyland.
