Chapter 18: Gigantic Obstacles

That night I went out like a light, as soon as I hit my pillow. Thanks to Steve's abilities, we had beds and pillows in the cave for comfort. I was tired but felt content. There was a sense of satisfaction and achievement. And I slept very peacefully.

Soon after the break of dawn, however, I woke up to Archon's growls. I was trying to understand what was going on and saw that the others had woken up perturbed as well.

He was outside the lair, venting his anger. We rushed to ask him what happened. Aurora, looking terribly stressed, was there talking to him.

*I hope this has nothing to do with Steve.*

As soon as she saw us, Aurora started to retell what was going on. "Some giants just walked into the village a little while ago. Without so much as a word, they started to destroy everything we had made in the square. The Christmas tree, the shops, the stalls, the decorations..."
