Chapter 12: Christmas Prevails

We returned to the Fairy Castle, just in time to see Vozig leaving with the ogres. He didn't see us, which was just as well because he frightened me.

I looked at Queen Titania and she was smiling. I heaved a sigh of relief. This meant that Selene now had no army. The ogres and the gremlins were both going to be walking away from her. This was working out very positively. I asked if the fairies were planning a celebration that night.

"Not tonight. I'd like them to spend some family time together, which will help in their healing. From tomorrow, the fairies will get busy with Christmas preparations. It has been years since our faith was usurped, and there have been no festivities. It's time we reinstated our faith. Christmas this year will mark the return of our beatitude."

I remembered again the Christmassy stormy night that took me to the Toon World, when she spoke of Christmas celebrations.
