C47 - Startling Revelation

It was the fall of the fifth year in this world. Over a year had passed since I was gifted my protective amulet. Selahe and I have made frequent visits to the city since then. 

Keegan had since finished the design of the blower idea I had given him. He was obligated to spread the design as far as he could. However, the smith he was teaching had to receive permission from me first. The smith also had to pay me a fee for the design. 

Currently, my parents and Selahe are managing the spread of the design for me. Eventually, I would be expected to take over that duty. They said it was one of the ways nobles made money. By coming up with ideas and designs and then receiving royalties from the spread of the design. 

Furthermore, because permission had to be received to learn the new design, I could prevent an enemy noble from benefiting. So for instance, if a smith from a rival noble's faction requested permission, I could deny them.
