Elysia's pulse quickened as she darted between narrow alleys, her footsteps muffled by the damp cobblestone streets. Even though she could not see the guard, she could still feel the guard's presence not far behind her, and she could also hear his voice calling for to stop, so that they could talk. Elysia turned a deaf ear to his words as she continued to quicken her steps. Her breaths came in sharp, quiet gasps, every muscle in her body alert as she looked over her shoulder.

When she got to a busier part of the market, she slowed her pace, forcing herself to look as casual as possible. She blended into the crowd, walking swiftly toward the market stalls, her heartbeat pounding in her ears.

"My Lady! Lady Elysia! Please, stop running away from me."The guard shouted as his heavy boots echoed against the ground somewhere behind her, and she dared not look back. Her hands trembled as she clutched her small bag close.
