Families Are Forever
Diane waited to hear what Carol and Katherine had to say. Her fingernails once again dug into her palms. Small drops of blood dropped on to the changing rooms plush white carpet.
Outside the changing room, Carol was in shock at Paige's response. She had hoped that the silly human would see sense, clearly, she didn't see the bigger picture. She stood and watched as she left and her jaw dropped as she then heard that she not only called her mother in law but also made her pay for her dress.
Katherine stood there awkwardly watching Paige leave. She then turned to the dumbfounded Carol.
"Carol, I did not know your true purpose in inviting me here. Yes, I am looking for my second chance mate but I also will not be a third party or steal someone's rightful place as a mate. I once had a mate... I loved him dearly and I could not imagine sharing him with anyone so I'm sorry I won't be part of this any longer. Goodbye Carol."
