Chapter 173: Helpless Sui and Alice in a Bad Mood

"We shouldn't have let this happen, right?"

Alice spoke in a hushed voice, her head bowed with guilt written all over her face.

If nothing had happened between them and they had merely slept in each other's arms, it would have been a trivial matter. They could have pretended it never happened and moved on.

Sui was at a loss for words, unsure how to respond.

At that moment, Alice noticed a faint pain in her lower body. Then, her eyes fell on the bloodstains on the sheets.

Even though she had no personal experience, she knew enough about biology to understand what had happened. A wave of dizziness washed over her, and for a moment, she almost blacked out.

Alice: "Q…Q"

She never imagined that she would lose her virginity in such a bewildering way—and to her sister's boyfriend, no less.

Tears welled up in her eyes. She felt like her world was crumbling.

Even though she had grown up in a more open Northern European culture, as a girl, she still valued this aspect of herself deeply.

Alice's eyes reddened as she bit her lip, tears streaming down her face like a child who had just lost her favorite toy.

Sui was at a complete loss. It felt like he had stolen something precious from her.

He was equally troubled, feeling guilty and overwhelmed. 

After all, Alice's situation was very different from Erina's.

Although he and Erina had also gotten together while drunk, they already had a foundation of affection between them. But with Alice, there was no such connection.

"Are you okay?" he asked, trying to comfort her.

Alice looked up, tears still clinging to the corners of her eyes. She glared at him coldly, her face pale and expressionless.

Sui felt a chill run down his spine, wondering if she was about to lose her temper.

And then...

"You scoundrel! You must have done this on purpose! You have to compensate me for my loss!"

Alice puffed out her cheeks, tears still glistening in her eyes, as she angrily lashed out. She kicked at Sui with her small feet in frustration.

Her feet were soft, fair, and her toenails were a delicate shade of pink.

Sui felt a pang of guilt and gently grabbed her flailing feet. "Alright, calm down. Tell me what I can do to make it up to you. I'll take responsibility."

He meant what he said. After all, it was his fault.

Alice's face flushed as she felt his hands on her feet. Embarrassed, she pulled her feet back quickly and shouted angrily, "I don't care! You did this to me, so you have to take responsibility. Break up with Erina and be with me!"

"That's not happening," Sui refused flatly. Why should Erina be sacrificed because of this?

Alice puffed out her cheeks again, kicking at him angrily, "I don't care, I don't care! You have to break up with Erina!"

"I'm willing to do anything else, but not that."

Sui spoke earnestly.

Alice fell silent, her eyes filled with unshed tears as she kneeled on the bed, sobbing quietly.

Although on the surface she and Erina appeared to be at odds, constantly competing with each other, deep down she cared for her cousin a lot.

When they were younger, they had been very close, but over time, they drifted apart due to Erina's father's interference.

Alice knew that insisting on this would be unfair to Erina, and she didn't want to hurt her.

After a while, Alice lifted her head and looked at Sui with a complex expression.

"Don't worry, I'll handle this. But I can't agree to break up with Erina."

Sui spoke sincerely.

Alice was silent for a long moment before finally replying in a calm voice, "We'll discuss this later. I won't tell anyone for now, especially not Erina."

Sui let out a sigh of relief.

"But don't think I'll let you off the hook! You better remember this. I'll figure out a way to punish you later!" 

With that, Alice puffed out her cheeks again and glared at Sui before wrapping herself in the sheets and getting up to dress.

Thanks to her mother's heritage, her skin was exceptionally fair. Even with her back turned to Sui, the smooth expanse of her skin, the delicate curve of her back, and her long, slender legs were all visible.

"Stop looking!"

She turned her head sharply and shot him an angry glare.

Sui felt a little helpless but started getting dressed too, though he couldn't help sneaking a few glances. She really did have a stunning figure.

After putting on her school uniform, Alice regained her composure. She brushed her hair back and, in a calm tone, said, "I need to use the restroom."

"Oh, it's behind that door," Sui pointed out.

Alice nodded and walked over as if nothing had happened.

But as soon as the bathroom door closed, the calm facade fell apart.

"Mom, Grandpa, what should I do?" she whimpered, crouching down, cheeks puffed out, tears brimming in her eyes. She looked utterly devastated and lost.

Even though she had put on a brave front earlier, threatening Sui with punishment, that was just her way of coping.

She used to tease Erina for being inexperienced in love, but in truth, she herself was a complete novice. Faced with such an unexpected situation, she was utterly clueless and overwhelmed.

Meanwhile, Sui had no idea what was happening inside the bathroom. If he did, he would have been astonished.

Who would have thought that the usually carefree and troublemaking Alice was just as inexperienced and panicked when it came to matters of the heart?

After getting dressed, Sui began stripping the stained sheets, intending to wash them before Erina noticed anything.

Alice emerged from the bathroom and, seeing the sheets, blushed again.

"Let's head downstairs," Sui suggested, holding the sheets.

Alice nodded, and the two of them quietly made their way downstairs.

It was still early, and since everyone had partied late into the night, drinking heavily, the rest of the group was still asleep in the living room.
