Chapter 27 I just want to fly away with him
Wennie Brown went back to her bedroom for a nap.
At around three o'clock in the afternoon, Flynn Duncan came back from the outside, went straight to the kitchen, poured himself a glass of water, inadvertently glanced at a pile of gifts in the corner of the kitchen, and asked, "Linda, has anyone been here today?"
Linda answered truthfully, "Mrs. Duncan's friends have been here."
Linda hesitated to speak.
Flynn Duncan looked at her, "And then?"
"Mrs. Duncan asked me to address her as Miss in front of her friends."
Flynn Duncan frowned, "Mrs. Duncan's friend is a man?"
"yes."
Flynn Duncan had a hunch in his heart that this friend who came to the house today was someone Wennie Brown liked.
Pretending to be unmarried in front of that person, it seems that Wennie Brown must have liked him very much, probably because she was afraid that the person would dislike her because of her second marriage status.
