Chapter Eleven:Not All Broken Things Can be fixed.

Lucifer's Palace,Hell.

Lucifer stood  still watching in blank space,with his mind  far lost in thoughts that he didn't want to   share with anyone about what's bothering him.

Not that neither his sons  nor anyone present  didn't know what's going on in his mind right now,but they were all treading carefully so as to not attract his wrath.

Things have changed,ever since Damon got sentenced to the cave of silence.No one having any news of him surviving the cold temperature.

No one knew.. absolutely no one.

They couldn't dare to go against the High lord's order,not even Lucifer  could go against the rules surrounding the verdict that were given to his son.

But that's not an excuse for a father who had betrayed his son,yeah ..he let the favorite prince of hell down and this was what Abaddon wanted.

Just what he wanted,as he stood at the entrance of the door watching as his father blamed himself for months for his brother's demise.

Everyone believed he was dead,no immortal soul from hell has been able to survive a day in that cave,talkmore of spending a hundred years in there.

It was something worth celebrating, because Damon had always been the one who challenged his authority, and made his reign shady because of some shitty prophecy.

He was the last son of his father,yet out of all his other brother's who he was supposed to be wary of, especially Melchom.Damon had been the obstacle in the race of who would be the new king of hell.

But hell no, Destiny was playing a good game and he knew that the odds were in his favor because there's no Damon anymore,and neither will Melchon rise up to commit treason against his new king.

Even the great seer,Seth was not able to tell of what has become of his brother,it was as if he was forgotten with time.But he was clearly not forgotten by his father nor his twin, Azriel.

Which was a huge problem, Azriel hasn't been taking the news about his death quite well,and is a mess.

He tried commiting crimes on his own accord that would attract the attention of grandfather,he wanted to be  sent to the same place where his brother was.

But the Highlord seems to favor him alot,or maybe he might be taking pity on him for the loss of his brother,he overlooks everything he does.

What made it more uneasy for him was his father,he wasn't happy that he was crowned the new king of hell.

Not for once had he ever looked at him in the face, and showed the sincerity and happiness that he got the throne.

No,if anything he still wishes for his dead son to come back,but unfortunately for him, Damon's soul would have dissolved and formed into thin air while hoping to be reincarnated again.

That's what made his father wait,he had hoped that one say Seth would get the vision about him reincarnating but the vision never came,and he had hoped it would remain  that way forever.

It has to, because either way there's no way he would let him live a peaceful life if he comes back from the dead,or maybe reincarnates to steal what rightfully belongs to him.

He wouldn't let him live!

"You are here"Lucifer turned to acknowledge his son,who had a big  smile on his face when he noticed that he had seen him.

He walked in, wearing the crown on his head while he knew that the sight of that made his father sick, but he didn't care.

He will continue to show off,until it gets embedded in his brain that he rules now,and  the dead son,Damon, stands no chance anymore.

"How are you father?you look worn out and really need all the rest you can get,you haven't take human blood since a week and you don't look good"

Abaddon complained, walking up to him and helping him sit down because he was too weak.

"It would all be much  better if i die, there's nothing worth leaving for after what i did"Lucifer said,really sad at the thoughts of his son,Damon.

He couldn't forget.

How could he?

It was a non end trauma, the scene of that day playing right in front of him daily, while tormenting his life and leaving him with no option but to feel so empty.

He was empty, nothing could have him feel much alive anymore and he couldn't stop blaming his stupid guts which had led  him to betray his son.

Damon had always wanted to find the story behind his mark and so was  he too.He had believed that the human child was connected with him, when the sign was clearly in the sky on that very day.

He felt it.

That had been the same sign that had occurred when Damon was born,no one had been able to tell the tale behind that,aside from the prophecy that wouldn't come to pass anymore because they believed he was dead.

"No, there's more worth living  for father,Damon choosed his path and he paid for it.You don't have to feel obligated towards him just because he's your son"Abaddon said with all anger in his tone,which didn't surprise Lucifer either.

He has always been at it with Damon,maybe it had to do with the fact that they weren't born from the same mother.

But the hate has always been there,but he expected more from him apart from the hate, because his brother lives  no more just like they said.

"He's your brother Abbadon,and not a stranger"He reminded him.

"A brother who betrayed the cause is not considered a brother, that's the rule"He reminded his father too,the law was absolute.

"You pay too much attention to fucked up rules, like who cares about the goddamn rules anyway,no one!"

"Well i do care now father,I'm the king and i deserve to lead my people in the right way.I'm not like you father"He practically insulted his father,and had a slap sent to his right cheeks.

"I made you king!!''Lucifer growled,the intensity of his anger shaking the whole Palace,which didn't take much time for Camiel and Melchom to appear before them.

"What have you done this time Abbadon?"Camiel asked, walking up and pulling Lucifer away from where he stood in front of his brother.

With the way things were going,a war would soon start out and Abaddon would get his ass whooped anyway,king or not Lucifer still remains the main king!

"Your attitude doesn't change anything or erase what you did,you betrayed him so stop acting like you are a saint"He said, looking at Melchom who was grinning from ear to ear that the two were fighting.

He never really liked peace in the first place,so watching the both of them gave him satisfaction.

"Two days more ,i will get to confirm whether he's truly dead just like you have said,"Lucifer stated.

It is just two more days  until Damon's punishment is done,and he will prove to Abbadon that he  will get Damon's forgiveness.

"Well I'm afraid he was dead before the very first two days of his punishment,stop hoping on God because grandfather isn't on your side,this  time around"He said lastly,and started walking away in anger.

"You filth!"Lucifer roared,and got his visions blurry that he nearly fell down,but Camiel held him.

"You need to feed, father,stop behaving like this.You look pathetic" Melchom said, coming to staring infront of him.

"Are you on his side too?!"

"Of course not father,I'm forever on your side"He said, poking  at his side which made Lucifer burst out into laughter, while Camiel joined too.

"See,all you need is Melchom's jokes to get  you back to normal,don't mind Abbadon father he will come around"Camiel said, hopefully but he and Melchom knew that this shit isn't possible.

"Yeah father,he's just stressed up because of the preparation of his party,he will chill soon"Melchom added, looking at Camiel before looking at his side.

"I don't have any interest in any useless party,he  needs to learn his manners and not end up making me put him where he belongs "

Lucifer said with authority,which had Camiel and Melchom look at each other because he meant what he just said.

Their father is cruel and stubborn when he's pushed to the wall,and Abbadon is treading in dangerous path.

It's not being a week since his coronation,but things were already going messy in the family.

"But are you really going to look for Damon father?"Camiel asked, looking at Melchom because they had planned on doing that too, regardless of the hate they wanted to confirm if he's really dead.

"He's always alive Cam,I know it, Where's Azriel?"He asked, fixing his clothes before looking back at his two sons.

"In the human world as always, causing enough trouble that wouldn't budge grandfather at all"Melchom says, smiling at his useless brother who doesn't want to learn from his lesson's.

"He needs to stop"Lucifer said.

"Why?"The two asked in unison in surprise,he had always allowed Azriel to do whatever he likes as long as he got to stop him from thinking about his brother.

Lucifer sighed when he remembered Abaddon's words,"Just like your brother says, there's no point trying to live as a saint.If there's a chance that Damon is still alive,what do you think would be his first mission?"

"That would be feeding off  every human soul to regain his energy "Camiel guessed,but Lucifer disagreed.

"No"

"Then what?"Camiel asked, confused.

"I think that would be finding his  human mate,he needs to spend as much time she has left before she dies again"Melchom says with a devilish smile in his face.

"No,he will be coming back to get rid of me and Azriel,he will kill the both of us"Lucifer said.

"Then we might as well get rid of him before he does that"Melchom suggested,which made Camiel smacked his head.

"He's family"Camiel reminded.

"But he will kill father,and who knows if he won't kill us too.You know how strong he is' 'Melchom said,not ashamed of himself, for proving that his younger brother was stronger than him.

"There's no point in getting all worked up soon,I will fix my mistakes and get everything back to the way it was before"Lucifer said with all positivity and assurance,but what he didn't know was that not all broken things can be fixed.

And that goes for broken relationships too,the damage has been done and nothing would ever change that.
