We nodded, falling into step behind them as we made our way back through the tunnel. The air grew warmer, and the light at the tunnel's end seemed more welcoming now. As we emerged into the forest, the first rays of dawn began to break through the canopy, casting a golden glow over everything.
The serene moment didn't last long. Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted, a chilling wind rustling through the trees. Four rogue demons emerged from the shadows, their eyes glowing with malevolent intent. Their twisted forms and snarling faces sent a jolt of adrenaline through my veins.
Aurelia's eyes narrowed as she assessed the threat. "Stay alert," she muttered, her voice calm yet commanding.
The first demon lunged at us, its claws outstretched. Seraphine moved with lightning speed, intercepting it mid-air and delivering a powerful kick that sent it crashing into a tree. The impact echoed through the forest, shaking the leaves from their branches.
