The demon king is innocent: SB

“If the only way to live peacefully is to make up for everything he had done in the past even if I don’t remember a thing. Then I’ll atone for every last one of the demon king’s sins.” Somniya awakens without a trace of memory—no recollection of his name, his origins, or his identity. However, it’s swiftly discovered that he is the once-feared merciless tyrant. The Demon King. That after taking over the world left nothing but pain suffering and turmoil in his wake. Corruption, evil beasts, famine, war, murder, slavery, gangs, captivity. Everything evil in the world lead back to the devilish smile on this man's face. Although now the body of the demon king inhabited by a whole new being stripped of his well-renowned might and left oblivious to his past, he is no more than a pitifully powerless human, with no one at his side facing the bloodthirsty fury of the world. No one by his side but one single girl Eve that has been by that side for years with no intention to leave it any time soon. The world is thrown into disarray by the sudden absence of its supreme leader, and plunges into chaos as many try to attain his throne whilst others seek revenge for his uncountable unredeemable actions. As Somniya and Eve grapple with the monumental task of holding the fractured world together, they must confront the fallout of the Demon King’s reign and untangle the enigma behind this mysterious curse, whilst also attempting to make right of the demon kings evils across the world, in chase of peace and redemption of his name. All in the chase of peace for both himself and the world. But how far can the world forgive those sins, how far can they quench their hatred.

Finally the feeling of

A torrential downpour harshly beat against the earth, as far as the eyes could see, and as far as the ears could hear.

The tide of the rain so powerful, the idea of losing the very concept of dryness itself and a tranquil weather became very plausible.

As her body was drenched her clothes abandoned their purpose of keeping the wearer warm, to the point they were closer to ice-cold blankets of stone, solely wrapped around her to drag her down, to add to the torment of the painful storm gradually being torn through.

*Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!*

Suddenly three consecutive quakes at the door caused the wholesome small cottage on the outskirts of the city to shake violently, equally fighting against the storm.

Instantaneously ripping a man and his wife out of their peaceful dreams, into the treacherous pounding of the rain at their roof and window.

If not for the harsh blows delivered at the door in the place of knocks, the knocks would've been almost inaudible.

The man was quite fit and had a short red goatee beard on his chin, as well as an equally as big moustache over his lips.

He had quite long braided red hair for a man, reaching down to his shoulders.

His blonde-haired wife 90% of her body concealed under the red cotton blanket, shivered "What- what was that?"

*Bang! Bang! Bang! * three more equally violent knocks shook the house once again.

"Could it be a robber? What about the kids, they're going to break the house down!" She continued the distress very evident in her shivering and petrified face.

Jumping out of bed the man threw on his white nightgown, "Don't worry I'll go see." He reassured, lighting a candle holder with his fingers and sliding his feet into two grey slippers.

*Bang! Bang! Bang! * The knocks came again, the man picked up a wooden plank as he crept closer and closer to the door.

*Bang! Bang! Bang! *

*Bang! Bang! Bang! *

*Bang! Bang! Ba- * Suddenly the man swung the door open, his makeshift weapon at the ready, "You chose the wrong house fool-"

However just as he was to knock whoever was attempting to threaten his family he paused for a moment.

The situation being nothing like he had presumed he stared at the small pink-haired girl painfully panting for air, as if she had just run a marathon which she might as well have done.

Carrying a sword lassoed at her front and a boy hidden by a grey cloak on her back the both of them completely drenched in rain, the man would've thought they had just gone for a completely clothed dip in a lake.

"Sorry I don't have any rooms or money for you, but don't worry Cetura City is just right down this path-"

"No, we don't need a place to stay, we just came from Cetura please we just need to rent a dragon bear carriage!" Eve desperately pleaded; her wide tearful eyes fixed on the man who only stood confused.

The man's confused face soon turned stern as he pointed towards the sign on a red and white barn, on a field beside his house.

"Wha?" Eve muttered as she turned towards where he was pointing, her desperation failing to fade from her face.

"Can you not read? Well, forget it I'll tell you we're closed!" He bellowed.

"You think waking up my entire family and scaring my wife and children shitless at midnight is gonna get u a carriage after hours hah!

Come back tomorrow I may consider it, but I doubt it after you just stole sleep from my entire family which was hard enough to get in this storm." He continued as he turned back around and began walking back inside.

"Wait!" Eve Begged desperately stretching out her hand towards the man, causing Somniya to almost fall from her back.

The man rotated his neck back just enough so that only his right eye was facing them. "Hm? I already told you my answer don't make me use this wooden plank like I initially intended to-"

"Double! I'll pay double!" Eve declared powerfully, readjusting Somniya back to comfort on her back.

"After all the trouble you think just double is enough?" He asked turning his entire body back around. Although this time only to hide away the evident vile smirk of opportunity stretched across his face. "Goodnight-"

"Triple then!"

The man remained silent.

Eve stood and thought for a moment, her body toiling between her logic and desperation.

Alas, desperation came on top. "Okay, I'll buy the carriage outright and the dragons and pay double for that!" Eve continued void of reason yet brimming with passion.

"Okay fine, pay up right here right now and you got a deal 6200 Qw."

Eve bit her lip, this was far beyond even triple the price yet without uttering a word she reached into the boundless bag.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Somniya's droopy eyes flickered open, finding himself asking a familiar yet valid question. "Where am I?"

Floating in an absolute pitch darkness making it near impossible to even see both hands in front of him.

Suddenly Somniya collided face-first with some kind of stone slabbed grey ground floor, the first solid object he had come in contact with for what felt like hours.

'I feel sick' There was a harsh stench of ominousity in the air.

"What is thi-" Within the next moment Somniya watched as his legs flailed in the opposite direction of the rest of his body, spewing a fountain of red as it flew.

The tsunami of confusion and questions enveloping the area left Somniya perplexed with a blank face unable to comprehend one ounce of what had occurred.

By the time Somniya had returned to his senses he had realised that more than half of his entire body had been dissected from the rest, only filling him with more questions, as more and more blood filled his throat, causing him to gag out blood adding to the red puddle draining out from his innards.

His entire body felt as if it had simultaneously been thrown into an inferno, as well as an ice age, the pain so drastic it seemed every other sense in his body had fled away abandoning him like the rest of the world had done.

He couldn't see he couldn't feel he couldn't smell.

The only thing he knew was this agonising indescribable pain from the lower part of his body.

He desperately tossed and turned drowning in his own blood, as he struggled to attain even one more gasp of oxygen from his lungs, clogged with so much blood it seemed as if they had already decided to give up.

As well as exerting as much energy as possible to not lose consciousness.

Yet Somniya clinging to that flicker of life he had left or somehow trying to soothe the pain, he violently clawed at the rugged gravel on either side of him without rest, almost as if he was trying to dig his way through the floor itself.

Again and again, scraping away the skin from the tips of his fingers, his nails already long reduced to a bloody patches on the front of his fingers.

Leaving a trail of blood now carved into the ground by sheer force alone. Until his body had completely lost all its strength, he gradually began shutting his eyes in defeat.
