Bingxing and Lanyan nodded at him before he answered the phone. "Father?"
"Jie, where are you now?" Lai Julong's voice felt urged and hushed, and there were soft police sirens in the background. Lai Mingjie grew worried as it seemed that something big had happened over the party's venue. He then answered, "At the park. What happened? Are you okay?"
"Yes, but... I need you to come over fast."
"I'll be there." Lai Mingjie hung up before glancing at the two demons.
Bingxing only nodded at him before the old man morphed into his centipede-looking demon form. The two hopped on his back, and Bingxing rushed along the streets and rooftops while remaining invisible to humans.
