The dragons were indeed erecting the Dragon Hide Array, but it didn't mean that the abyssal creatures would stop attacking them. The city had floated way up in the sky, and so abyssal giants underwater couldn't reach them anymore. Only the gates left open by Youming was the only source of danger, aside from those who had come through the water. However, nothing stopped Youming from transporting the previously deployed creatures into the city.
Because of the water, some immortals had been swept out and into the city. Most of them had to recover from the surge while some bitterly continued fighting against the creatures after fighting for a few hours now. The commanders had not shown up, and it was easy to tell that even Brother Blue was swept away by the surging waters.
