Complications

Before the green breeze could kiss Lai Mingjie's face, a hand grabbed his collar and pulled him back. The demon king ended up thrown to the ground while Brother Blue sent forth most of his ice energy to block the green smoke. The alley's walls were coated by thin sleet while the air before them submerged sub-zero. An ice wall formed just before Brother Blue's nose, and he hopped back to see more of it.

His eyes then slid to the side, his teeth gnashing together. Since he summoned forth his ice, he had to release Xu Chenguang from her invisible binds. Without it and making use of the commotion, she knocked down two immortals and ran off. He would ask them to chase her, but he stared at three of them who were caught in his ice wall. They were frozen outside the wall, but hopefully, they could survive the green smoke through that layer of ice shielding them.
