KELLEN
The warriors descended upon us, thirsty for blood. Hungry for a kill.
Their moves were fast and calculated, reigning down blow after blow with their steel weapons that were sharper and stronger than ours. We were at a disadvantage, but I wouldn’t let that stop me from taking down each one.
I thrust my blade in the belly of one and slashed at another, both dropping their weapons as they went down. I scooped them up and turned to meet the next attacker. Blocking his slice as I backed up to my comrades.
Thanking the Moon Goddess for all my training and sending a silent thank you to Hunji and my Uncles for training me well. My muscle memory began to kick in and the wolf side of me began to take over. The primal urge to survive: Kill or be killed.
