The Deathless Ones

With the introduction of a new vaccine to combat the Corona virus, the whole world finally started going back to normal. The quarantine was scrapped, travel bans were lifted and offices, malls and theatres all over the globe started opening up. Things were looking especially good for Ray until a deadly new strand of COVID-19 forced the world to go into lockdown once again. But little did Ray know that the lockdown would be the least of his worries. The mutated virus has started to transform their hosts into deranged monsters with only one thing on their mind: Human Flesh. Will Ray, who has lived most of his life playing video games on his computer, be able to survive this increasingly dangerous new world all the while protecting the ones he loves most? The house

(Meghan)

After driving in a straight line for almost the entire way, Meghan began to feel a little drowsy from the steady motion of the car. Her eyes fluttered shut and after a little bit, her nod dropped slightly. Suddenly Meghan woke up with a start and steadied herself quickly, hoping Ray hadn't noticed.

"You're feeling sleepy, huh?" he asked, much to her embarrassment. "It's only natural. We've had one hell of a day today."

"Ahh yeah," Meghan said, scratching the side of her head to hide her face.

Ray stopped accelerating which slowed them down by quite a bit. "Keep a lookout for somewhere we can crash for the night." He told her. "We've very close to the next town now. It would be best if we found a place around here so that it isn't too close nor too far from it."

"The next town…" Meghan said, trying to overcome her horrible sense of direction, "Varakala?" she asked, uncertainly.

"Yep." Ray said, "It's barely two kilometres from here." He added.
