Groggy and confused, Hao Xuan stumbled out of bed and over to the door, pulling it open forcefully.
"STOP!" he yelled through gritted teeth, "What do you want?!"
He opened his eyes halfway to look at the speaker in annoyance. It was a demihuman girl with feline features mixed in. Wide-eyed and mouth agape, she was looking at him in shock.
"What do you want?!" he asked again.
And right before his eyes the girl's face turned beet red as she turned on her heels.
"F-Food! Outside!" she blurted out two words before running away at full speed.

"The hell?"
Hao Xuan walked out into the hallway to see where she was going but bumped into another person who was passing by. It was an old lady carrying a large bowl of steaming liquid which would have been spilled on top of him were it not for his quick reaction.
