[Flashback]

Back when they were 7 years old, Ava and Trisha were wandering around the small abandoned playground in district 7, their home. They were both looking for Yuichiro.

"Yuu! Yuu! Where are you?!" Trisha called out, moving around so Yuichi could hear her call.

Ava was looking into the bushes calmly, her own way of finding him was less troubling and sufficient for her.

After a while of searching, Trisha walked over to Ava with a sad look on her face, "I can't find him anywhere." She sobbed.

Ava stood to her feet and patted Trisha on the head, "It's okay, I know he's somewhere here… probably." She tried to console her twin sister.

While Ava was busy petting Trisha on the head, a shriveling sound came from the bushes beside them.

Startled, Ava stood in front of Triha and picked the small stone beside her, getting ready to attack whatever came out of the bush.

But to their surprise, Yuichi rushed out of the bushes, screaming in fear as he charged toward them like he was being chased by a ghost. "RUN!" Yuichi cried out.

He grabbed both Trisha and Ava by the hand and began hurling them as he ran, "Yuu! Where did you go?" Trisha asked.

Raarr!

A white furry dog came sprinting toward them from the same spot Yuichi came out from. Feeling scared, Yuichi increased his speed so the dog wouldn't catch up.

But since the dog was faster, it was slowly gaining on them, and to make matters worse, Yuichi accidentally tripped and fell to the ground.

"Yuu!" Trisha called out, stopping in front of Yuichi. A look of terror hit her face when she glimpsed the dog speeding toward them like a wild beast.

"Hey! Get up Yuichi! It's coming!" Trisha shouted, grabbing Yuichi's hand as she tried to pull him up

But Yuichi was so damaged that he couldn't move a muscle, Trishi hustled to pull him up, but when she saw that the dog was close, she knew there was nothing more she could do.

So Trisha used her body to shield Yuichi, she was willing to protect him, even if it meant her getting hurt.

"Arrrch!"

Right before the dog was about to pounce on them, Ava banged the rock she was holding on the head of the dog. The dog fell to the ground with a whining sound.

Not wasting any time, Ava knelt on the dog and began smashing its head with the rock, over and over again while its blood squirted on her face.

Trisha slowly raised her head and was even more terrified when she saw the way Ava was whacking the rock on the dog's head even though it was dead.

"Ava?" Yuichi muttered, crawling away from Trisha to get close to Ava.

Trisha was on her knees, watching Yuichi hurl his body on the ground and hug Ava from the back when he got close. "Ava, that's enough, it's…dead." He uttered, using the little strength he had to push her to the ground.

The rock slipped from Ava's grasp and she fell on Yuichi's belly when he pulled her. Looking at the blood covering her hand, Ava grunted, pinning Yuichi's hands to the ground before she pulled her face close to him.

"A..va?".

"Don't go anywhere without me from now on okay… do you understand me?" Ava asserted, a profound expression on her face as she searched his eyes.

Gasp!

Ava's eyes suddenly sprung open, only to find herself laying on a hospital bed with different instruments connected to her body.

She sprung up from the bed, looking around the darkroom to see multiple blinking machines in front of her.

'Where am I?' Ava thought to herself, she got down from the bed and started removing the wires connected to her body.

She was about to walk away when she suddenly caught a glimpse of someone laying in a huge glassed room beside her.

Focusing her eyes on it, Ava was able to have a clear view of Yuichi laying on the bed with more stuff connected to his body.

"Yuu!" Ava called out, running toward the glass so she could see him clearly, "Don't worry, I'll get you out of there!".

She looked around and spotted an office chair, not thinking twice about it, Ava reached for it and got ready to break the glass with it.

"Hold on!" A woman dashed into the room and stood in front of the glass to stop Ava from smashing it, "What do you think you're doing?!".

Ava immediately halted before the chair could hit the woman. "Who are you?" Ava asked before she slowly lowered the chair to the floor.

The woman had long blonde, red lipstick painted on her lips and was putting on a long lab coat that brought out her curves.

The woman immediately made sure there was no scratch on the glass before she gave out a sigh of relief. "What the hell were you thinking?! This is a 17 million dollar reinforced scar guard… don't just swing a chair at it!".

"My friend is in there… I want him out." Ava spoke, gripping the chair, she was ready to slam the chair on both the woman and the glass if she said no or tried to stop her.

"That's the first thing that occurred to you?" The woman sighed, "Sure, come with me." She walked out of the room while murmuring to herself about how little but dangerous Ava was.

Ava hesitated for a while before she followed behind the woman. They went toward the next room which was connected to the room they came out from.

Walking inside, a smile of solace hit Ava on the face when she saw Yuichi resting on the hospital bed but with wires and holes attached to his body.

She ran inside and stood close to him, shocked at the state he was in, even though Ava didn't know what the wires were, she didn't feel the least bit comfortable seeing them on him.

From behind Ava, came the voice of the woman, "Let me introduce myself, My name is Jessica blanderom, and I am the level researcher of this establishment… welcome to Jixa.. The Japanese imperial Xynoin army…".
