Weak and Pathetic!

Yuichi stood at a standstill as panic attacks began to take over, the sound of his heart racing and the loud cries of the children were the only thing he could give attention to.

'R…Run away.' Yuichi muttered, watching as Yuri sped toward him with dread written all over her face as she stretched out her hand.

He could see her mouth moving but couldn't tell what she was saying, but Yuichi could tell she was trying to get close to him.

"Ava…". Yuichi mumbled, reaching out his hand when all of a sudden, he received a hard push to the left.

"Snap out of it!" Trisha shouted, rushing out of the opposite room and pushing Yuichi away from harm's way.

Yuichi instantly snapped out of his thoughts as his body was halfway above the ground. His eyes picked up on the Xynoin that was getting ready to attack.

'T…There are two?' He thought to himself while fumbling in fear,... "Not again… I'm not letting anyone die again!".

Yuichi reached out his hands and grabbed Trisha by the collar before pulling her close with all his strength.

They both crashed their backs on the door in front of them which was immediately followed by the loud stomp the monster made when it collided with the floor and left a huge hole in the middle.

Yuichi was motionless for a while, panting heavily as he stared at the huge hole on the floor, "If I had hesitated… she would have… ".

Standing to his feet, Yuichi grabbed Trisha by the hand, "'Come on, let's go!" He exclaimed.

"We can't… the kids are still in there." Trisha uttered, pointing at the room she had just come out from.

Ava arrived and the first thing she did was hold Yuichi's hand, "We have to leave here… it isn't safe … okay? Just follow me and I'll get you out, let's go." She uttered with an insane expression on her face.

Ava pulled Yuichi but he immediately pulled back, "Ava, the kids are still in there… we can atleast get them out of here …. I think some are in the …".

"Shut up!" Ava suddenly yelled with a cold stare on her face, "Stop talking like you have the strength to save them, cause you don't! you're weak and pathetic, there's nothing you can do here… I'll get you out first then come back for them.' She grabbed Yuichi's hand but he immediately let go again.

"Weak and pathetic?... Of course I'm weak, I'm 12, I'm scared, I don't know what I'm doing, I just watched my mom die… why is it wrong?! Why is it wrong if I don't want the same thing to happen again! Tell me Ava!" Yuichi yelled back with tears dropping from his eyes.

Ava stared for a while, looking at both Trisha and Yuichi before she spoke…

"I'll go check the room in front with Trisha, you can get the ones in this room outside, there is one Meta in the other room and one right under us, so the living room should be free now… you should be able to sneak out with the children." Ava explained, pointing to every direction as she spoke.

A smile immediately stroke Tisha and Yuichi's faces, "Thank you!" Yuichi voiced out and entered the room almost immediately.

With a sigh, Ava looked at Tisha, "Let's get this done quick." She uttered, so both her and Trisha went to the room up ahead, walking at the tip of the hole in front of them in order not to fall in.

As soon as Yuichi entered the room, he met four kids sleeping peacefully on their beds.

"How are they able to…. Ahh never mind!"

Yuichi went to each child and began waking them up, "Uhn.. big brother Yuu, what are you doing?" One of the kids asked.

"Heyyy, … we're going out for a walk now okay… so just fo.." Yuichi suddenly grabbed the boy and rolled over to the other side of the room.

The ceiling above him abruptly ripped open and standing above them was something Yuichi had never reckoned.

A huge human shaped Xynoin was standing close to the house, it was so big that it was able to rip the ceiling and peep inside the house while it's legs were still touching the ground outside.

"W..what… what the hell is that?!" Yuichi yelled, holding the children tight as they all ran toward him while crying in fear.

Meanwhile, Ava and Trisha were in the other room getting ready to evacuate the children as quietly as they could when all of a sudden they noticed the huge humanoid Xynoin looking down at them.

Ava instantly told the children to close their eyes while she began leading them out of the room.

It was remaining one girl who Trisha was about to pick up when suddenly the wall beside them broke down.

The huge snake Xynoin showed up with a loud shriek leaving its mouth.

Trisha stood there completely frozen in fear as she stared at the Xynoin panting with the girl on her arms.

"Trisha! What are you waiting for?!" Ava yelled, running back inside the room to grab the girl from Trisha's hand.

Once it noticed that Ava and Trisha were presiding out the door, the Xynoin immediately flickered straight at them.

Since Trisha was the one at the back, she became the Xynoin target, they were so close to reaching the door but then…

Thuh!

Ava was about to sprint out of the room when all of a sudden, Trisha grabbed Ava's cloth and yanked her back.

Ava accidentally knocked over the girl she was carrying as her body sprung back and straight into the Xynoin's path while Trisha ran forward.

Ava's eyes widened in shock as she watched Trisha run and not look back, "Sister?" She muttered in disbelief.

With a lightning fast move, Ava received a a decisive bite to one of her legs from the Xynoin while in mid air.

As soon as its sharp edgy teeths sunk into her thighs, Ava screamed in pain as a load of blue liquid flowed inside her leg.
