Sara and Nash quickly left the room.
After a while, the sect master asked, "What do you think about their story?"
One of the core elders quickly responded, "I think they are lying. If there was a powerful cultivator, then the cultivator would have just taken Nash away instead of leaving him here."
Another elder said, "I agree but then how would we explain the number of pills and equipment? More importantly, how could we explain Nash's talent being upgraded?"
One elder raised a suggestion, "They said that someone will come in a couple of months to bring them more items. We can wait and see if someone brings them more mid or high-rank items to see if there is a powerful cultivator behind them. Until then, we can make them core disciples after all no matter how Nash got his talent upgraded, it is a second-star talent which no one in our sect possesses."
Another elder quickly asked, "What if they were sent by our enemies?"
"If any of our enemies had pills that could upgrade someone's talent then we wouldn't exist right now."
The sect master finally said something. "Let's go with the first elder's suggestion. Someone go announce that the two of them have been made a core disciple."
The meeting ended with that and the next morning, the announcement was made.
This truly shocked all of the sect disciples and even the sect elders that didn't know what had happened to Nash's talent.
There were a lot of questions about how they became core disciples, after all, there weren't a lot of core disciples. All of the precious core disciples were sons or daughters of powerful cultivators. They had gotten a lot of herbs, and pills, and they were also trained by those powerful cultivators before they even started their cultivation journey.
Most importantly, all of the core disciples were trained by the sect and were given a lot of resources. If they didn't die, they would all go on to become either a core elder or at worst stay at the peak of the Qi-refining realm.
