Family

Nigel navigated through the supermarket picking up things he thought were important. He wasn't really the type that loved shaping, so whenever he was low on supplies he would just raid the supermarket and buy everything he could and as much as he could. His life outside being a member of the Satan's Guild was a very simple one and he enjoyed his life being simple.

He lived alone in a nearly empty neighborhood that was mostly dominated by elderly people who loved minding their business. He wasn't the type to interfere in another person's problems without invitation, and he didn't like people having their noses in his business either. His neighborhood was perfect for the type of life he lived.

He drove gently into the neighborhood and parked his vehicle just outside his apartment before alighting and walking into the building with his two hands completely engulfed in the grocery bags he carried. He had gone overboard this time and bought way too much things than he needed. He was living alone after all, so there wasn't any extra mouth to feed.

He managed to unlock his door without any of the bags falling, but the instant he walked in they all came crashing down and he himself almost screamed.

Someone was standing right in the middle of his living room, a little knife in her possession alongside a demonic smile that spread all the way to her eyes

"Clarissa!" Nigel exclaimed before crouching low to pick up his fallen grocery. "What are you doing here?" He questioned.

"I came to pay big brother a visit" The girl replied and he eyed her. They both knew that what she said was a lie, but he didn't want to emphasize on that.

Clarissa was his younger sister, and a grade three Guild member. She wasn't particularly strong, and her ability wasn't very entertaining, but she had managed to gain recognition from the higher-ups because of her sheer bloodlust and her dedication to her work. She was just a battle driven maniac, and even he sometimes was afraid of her insanity.

"Tell me what you want or you I can show you the door out" Nigel threatened amidst strides to the refrigerator. He made sure to have his eyes focused on her. She had randomly attacked him before just to get the thrill of fighting someone stronger than her, and even as her brother he hadn't held back against her. He didn't quite understand her even though he was the elder brother. She was different from the rest of the family, and in all honesty he didn't like her company one bit.

"Tell me what you really came for Clarissa. I have important things to be doing" Nigel demanded when it seemed the girl hadn't paid attention to his previous words.

"Mother wants to see you" She replied

"Mother? Why?" Nigel inquired. He didn't like going home one bit. His family kinda scared him even though he didn't show it. He knew how dangerous his family was, and merely being in their presence reminded him of how weak he was compared to his parents. He didn't like the vibe he got from them at all, and he had made it clear that he hated them on several occasions.

"I wouldn't know. She just gave me her message and I came to deliver it" Clarissa replied before ignoring the couch and settling on the floor.

Nigel knew she wasn't lying this time. He also knew that she probably wouldn't leave until he came with her. He understood how maniacal their mother could be, and the extreme lengths she would go to get what she wanted. He didn't really know why she wanted to see him, but it would definitely be safe to go right now and get it over with.

"Fine, give me a minute" Nigel said before disappearing through through the layers of curtain that separated the living room and the rest of the house. He surfaced a minute later with his whip in hand. He knew better than to return home unprepared. His family home was literally hell on earth, and the unexpected always happened in that building. He couldn't risk being taken by Surprise. He for one knew that surprises weren't a very friendly thing in the Allen household.

He cracked his whip once, and in an instant they were in front of the Allen mansion. Nothing had changed since he left the place five years ago. The statues, gardens and fountains were just as he remembered and also the sheer malevolence that reeked from the house itself.

He ignored the being beside him and made his entrance into the large edifice. He wanted to get this over with and return back to his groceries. He knew how juvenile his mother was, and he could guess that she might have even summoned him for trivial matters. He wasn't particularly in the mood for games, and if she dared to toy with his time then he would waste no time in disciplining her.

His eyes scanned the sorrounding and met with with that of his younger brother. He had forgotten the boy existed, and had also forgotten his ability. Teleportation. He was probably the person who snuck Clarissa into his home.

The boy was the hope of the Allen family after their father had declared him a failure. He didn't particularly care, he had killed his father himself before proceeding to leave the family.

Nathan was arguably on par with him at the moment despite him being six years younger. The boy was an absolute monster with boundless potential, and was even considered to be next leader of the Allen. He wasn't particularly in the guild, but he was treated like a god. He didn't hate his brother as much as he hated the rest of the family, but he most definitely feared the boy. His presence alone was enough to make a weak member go cripple with fear. He was an absolute monster, and that was why his parents had kept his existence a secret to the outside world.

"Where's mother?" Nigel asked ignoring the boy's peering eyes.

"At the back" Came his soft gentle reply. Nigel nodded his head in appreciation before walking past the boy and heading towards the described location.

He made his way to the backyard and found his mother seated on the bench with a flower pot In her possession. She was just as he had imagined her to be, unchanged. He didn't know why she had called him, but he was going to find out soon.

"Tell me Melena, why have you called me here?"
