Rose Memorial Day

Lily and Ren just returned from their short vacation and as for today they are preparing to attend Rose Memorial Day together with Lucas. Both of them are dressed in black and leave the palace together. Lily noticed that Ren seems quite silent during the whole ride and she could understand that he was feeling sad remembering the day his best friend died.

"Ren," called Lily.

"Yes?" said Ren as he turned to left looking at Lily.

"Are you alright?" asked Lily and Ren nodded giving her his dry smiles. Then, he took her hands and caressed gently. "im alright, don't worry~" said Ren and Lily smiled back at him. "You should ask that to Lucas later… he's the one who love her the most." Said Ren and Lily nodded.

A few minutes later, finally they have arrived at the private cemetery. The one who attended Rose Memorial Day was her family, Lucas, and both Lily and Ren. The media are not allowed to enter as the Memorial Day was held private for family. As soon as they've arrived, both of them went to Lucas to see if he's okay.

What surprised Lily the most is that, Lucas's eyes are swollen from crying.

"L-Lucas… your eyes….." said Lily.

"No worries… I've been like this for 3 years… I'm fine…" said Lucas and Ren tapped his back. "It's okay… I know you missed her… because I missed her too…" said Ren and Lucas nodded with tears pooling in his eyes.

The three of them were standing in front of her tomb while holding a flowers. After they gave her some respect, both Ren and Lily placed the flower in front of the tomb. Before Lily leaves, she prayed in front of the tomb.

*Dear Rose, I've never met you but I know you've been friends with both Ren and Lucas. Both of them love you so much and thank you for being their friends. I promise, me and Ren would take care of Lucas.* prayed Lily.

Once she's done, she walked towards Ren who was talking with Rose's family together with Lucas. "Done?" asked Ren as he took her hands and Lily nodded. "Come on, let's meet Lucas… we should cheer him up~" said Ren. "Alright~" said Lily and both of them went to look for Lucas.

Then, both of them found that Lucas was sitting on a bench alone, staring at the ground with his swollen eyes. "Lily," called Ren. "Could you get us some drinks? Let me go talk to him…" said Ren and Lily nodded. "Okay…" said Lily as she went to get some drinks for both of them.

As for Ren, he went near Lucas and take a sit next to him. "You okay, man?" asked Ren. "I've never been okay when this day comes…" said Lucas as he gave Ren his dry laugh. "I can still feel that she's still here with us…" said Lucas. "I've never get to buy her the dessert that she wants and up to this day, I still have that regret feeling of leaving her outside the bakery…." Said Lucas as he broke down into tears again.

"I miss her so much…. She's all I have…. She changed me… and now she's gone… forever…" cried Lucas. Ren who was sitting next to him, know exactly how he feels as he too, dropped his tears remembering that day.

From a far, Lily was watching both of them while holding two cups of tea for both of them. When she saw both of them were talking and Lucas's crying, she decided not to disturb them and let them reminiscing their moments with Rose.

That night, Lily was standing at the balcony alone feeling the night breeze when suddenly and arms wrapped her from the back. Lily was surprised with it and as soon as she turned to her right, it was Ren.

"Ren, you scared me~" said Lily.

"Sorry…" said Ren who were still hugging her not wanting to let her go.

"What's wrong?" asked Lily feeling weird with his sudden action. "Nothing… it's just… I missed you…" said Ren. "Missed me?" giggled Lily. "I thought we just met a few minutes ago during dinner?" asked Lily. "when I saw Lucas cried saying how much he missed Rose," said Ren "I promise to myself I would never let you go, and I don't want you to leave me… by leaving, I don't want it to be forever." Added Ren. Then, as he broke the hug, he took her left hand and his other hand was caressing her face gently.

"I want you stay by my side… I promise I will protect you as long as im here…." Said Ren. Lily who was standing, staring at his face and smiled. Then, she gave him a peck on his cheek and say "I promise I won't leave you." Smiled Lily.

A few days later, spring is finally here and it is the day that Lily final semester has started. She was still in her chamber arguing with Amelia and Anna about her outfit to her university today. "Miss, you should wear this one set skirt and jacket, together with this heels…" said Mia.

"Heels?! One set formal skirt and jacket?!" surprised Lily. She has never wear those outfit to her class. "I will never put on heels when I'm going to class… it's gonna hurt my feet Mia…" said Lily. Then, Anna begin to suggest another outfit for her. It was a long slack pants in beige colour together with white blouse. "How about this Miss?" asked Anna.

Lily rubbed her temple feeling a headache with their suggestions. "Mia, Anna," called Lily. "First of all, I'm going to a class, to study. I'm an art student and we move a lot. I'm not going to some meetings, or events. So please, bring me some comfortable clothes like jeans, shirt or an outerwear and please, bring me my black converse shoes so it's easy for me to run if I'm late to go to another building." said Lily.

"But Miss, that is not how a noble lady supposed to wear… people would be surprised if they saw you like that..." said Anna. "Well, let's delete those kind of stereotype from their minds that a noble lady or a princess should only wear dresses and formal clothes. I'm going to show them that we can be like a normal girl too." Said Lily. "Now please, I don't wanna be late on my first day of class…." Said Lily. With that, both Amelia and Anna has no choice but to follow what Lily wants.

A few minutes later, after Lily's done dressing up, she took her bag and her ipad, she thanked both Mia and Anna and walked in hurry to the car. While she took her las step from the stairs, she bumped her nose into someone.

"Oh-" said Lily as she rubbed her nose in pain and looked up. It was Ren.

"Good morning~" greeted Ren.

"Morning, sorry… I'm late now that's why I was in a hurry~" said Lily.

"Do you want me to send you off?" asked Ren. "No thanks, I know you have a meetings and you need to go out today… you're busy… I can handle this… it's not my first time in university, you know~" said Lily and Ren nodded.

"I got to go know… the chauffer is waiting for me~" said Lily. But before she leaves, Ren stopped her and suddenly, he kissed her cheeks gently making her blushed.

"Have fun~" said Ren.

"Y-you too… don't get too stress, alright?" said Lily and Ren nodded with a smile. After the bid their goodbyes, Lily is off to her university. The ride to her university took not too long which a few minutes later, finally they've arrived at their university gate. What surprised her the most is that lots of media area already waiting for her by the gate making her feel nervous. "That's a lot of people…" muttered Lily alone. As for the media, while waiting they have finally saw a royal car entering the university gate and they have started taking photos.

"It's the crown prince's fiancée!" shouted one of them.

As for Lily, the royal chauffer dropped her at the Faculty of Arts lobby. Lily was thankful, the media are not in her faculty as they are not allowed to enter beyond their university gate. The chauffer has opened the door for her and as what she was taught, she went out from the car in the elegant way though she was just wearing her typical student attire in Jeans, t-shirt with cardigan and her black converse shoe, she still looked beautiful.

"Thank you very much." Said Lily and the chauffer bowed before her leave her.

*This is it. My last final semester!* thought Lily. While she was walking alone, someone had called for her.

"LILY!" then, Lily turned the back of her heels and saw her best friend Amelia was running towards her.

"Oh my god, AMELIA!" shouted Lily as she run too and they both hugged each other.

"I can't believe you actually came! I thought you were joking last night~" said Amelia as she broke the hug. "It's my final semester, of course I should attend. I'm gonna be a princess with a scroll of degree in my hands~" said Lily and that made both of them laugh. Well, a princess shouldn't just stay at home and do nothing.

"Come on now, its Professor Martin class now… we need to hurry or else he would lock the door~" said Amelia and Lily nodded.

"Yeah we should hurry." Said Lily.

But, before they're off to class, someone had called Lily from her back.

"Lily Valentina."
