Lily's Parents

Weekend is finally here. Both Lily and Ren are on their way to Lily's home to meet her parents. As soon as they exited the Palace gate, lots of media has been waiting for them to update some news about them.

"How do the medias know that we're going out today?" asked Lily while looking through the window and see few reporters are capturing photos of them. "Sometimes, they do camping at the front gate." answered Ren. "Paid no mind to them… they're reporters… their job is to report some news~" said Ren and Lily nodded.

"By the way, what did mother gave to you just now?" asked Ren.

"Oh, she give my mom one of her flowers. Pink hydrangea." Answered Lily with a smile.

"Really?" asked Ren and Lily nodded. "Mother really likes you." Said Ren as he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ears and that made Lily surprised with his sudden action. But then, she likes it. Then, she heard Ren let out a sigh.

"What's wrong?" asked Lily in curious.

"I'm nervous." Answered Ren and Lily let out her small laugh. "Don't be… my parents are nice~

said Lily.

"But still, I have never met them before, and now im meeting them bringing the news about our E-day and many more. That's not normal." Said Ren and Lily chuckled. For the first time ever, she saw how Ren would look like if he's nervous. She thought he was too perfect as a prince that he would never feel nervous. Turns out he did. "don't worry, you'll be fine~" assured Lily as she touches his hands and those little gestures and touches that she made Ren really likes it and he literally smiled.

Augustin who was driving at the front noticed how Ren behaves lately. He do changed a lot right after he met Lily. He knows that he's been looking for her all these years. He smiles a lot nowadays, he was always eager to finish his work as soon as possible so he could meet Lily.

The ride to Lily's home took a half an hour. Without they realized, they have finally reached her home. "Ren, we're here!" exclaimed Lily happily as Augustin parked in front of her house. Then, Augustin opened the door on Ren's side and he came out from the car looking so handsome. The reporters who were following them, starts to take photos and there are even reporters who are making live news. Both of them are the main headlines for today.

As for Lily, Ren reached to her door and opened it. Just as what she has learned on her Royal Etiquette lessons, she came out from the car in elegant and graceful. Not to forget, she keeps on smiling. "Thanks~" said Lily loud enough for Ren to hear and she hooked her hands on Ren's arms. As soon as they entered her home, she found her mom and dad was already waiting for her. "Mom, dad!" called Lily as she ran towards them and gave them a one tight hug. "I miss you so much!" said Lily. Then, while she was busying greeting her parents, she forgot about Ren and heard his light cough at the back.

"opps, sorry." Said Lily and went near him. Then, he took his arms and brought him near her parents. "Mom, Dad, This is Ren." said Lily happily.

"Greetings, Your Highness." Both of her parents bowed.

"There's no need to bow at me, Mr. and Mrs. Lucian." Said Ren "and… just call me Ren or Nicholas… just be casual with me." Added Ren.

"Alright then, Nicholas, welcome to our home~" said Mrs. Lucian. "How long are you both going to stay here?" asked Mr. Lucian.

"Just one night dad… Ren has a lot of things to do…" pouted Lily and Ren chuckled seeing her. "That's okay, well at least you got to be home for a day~" said Mrs. Lucian. While all of them were talking, Augustin just came in bringing their luggage.

"Your Highness, this is your luggage and I'll be leaving now…" said Augustin. "Mrs. Lucian, the Queen gave you this as a gift." Said Augustin as he gave her the Hydrangea flower. "Thanks Augustin." Said Lily as she totally forgot about it because she was too excited when she sees her parents. But before he leave, Ren had called for him.

"Wait, Augustin." Called Ren and he went near him. "Did you have what I asked you to?" whispered Ren. Lily who was watching both of them, felt weird when she saw Ren was whispering to Augustin. "Don't worry Your Highness, I've put it in your luggage." Answered Augustin and Ren nodded. "Alright, thanks." Said Ren.

"Well then, enjoy your stay Your Highness and Miss Lily, I'll be taking my leave now and see you both tomorrow." bowed Augustin and left Lily's home. "Alright, I've cooked some food for us, shall we have lunch now?" asked Mrs. Lucian. "Sure, Mrs. Lucian." Smiled Ren and she led the way to their dining room.

When they've reached the dining room, Lily noticed that Ren was looking around the room. "It's quite small compared to the Palace, right?" asked Lily and both of her parents heard what she just said. "Oh my, are you feeling uncomfortable Nicholas?" asked Mr. Lucian.

"N-no, I'm more than comfortable Mr. Lucian." Answered Ren. Then, he saw Lily gestured him, asking to sit next to her and he gladly took a sit next to her. Actually, Ren wasn't feeling uncomfortable at all as soon as he reached her home. Instead, he had that kind of warm feeling when he's here. He can see how close they are as a family. He saw Lily's family photo hanging in the living room, and a few of their family photo hanging on the wall nearby the stairs. As their dining room, Ren was amazed by how close they are sitting next to each other. Back in the Palace, the distance between both of his parents are quite far and they tend to be silent when they're eating unless they have something to talk about.

*so this is how home feels like* thought Ren.

Lily who was busy talking with her parents, noticed that Ren has been quiet for a while. "Ren," called Lily. "Are you alright?" asked Lily. Ren gave her his dry smiles and reply "yes, I'm alright, now shall we start eating?" asked Ren. "Okay, we shall." Said Lily happily and starts to dig in her mom's cooking that she missed the most.

During their meal, Lily kept on talking and sharing to their parents about her life in a palace. She told them, she had an exclusive meals every day, how Anna and Mia prepared her clothes every day, prepare her bed before she sleeps, how she met the King and the Queen and many more. Ren who was sitting next to her, watched her in amusement because she sounds so excited.

"oh, by the way Ren," called Lily suddenly. "Let's go out tonight, there's a place that I wanna show you~" said Lily.

"Will that be okay? I think the media will have a look on you, plus I still see some of them outside…" said Mrs.Lucian. "mom, we have the backdoor~" answered Lily. "Nicholas, are you okay with it?" asked Mr. Lucian. "It's alright Mr. Lucian. We can put on a disguise I guess?" said Ren.

"Okay then!" said Lily happily.

That night, right after they had their dinner, both Lily and Ren are preparing to out together just like what they had planned, both of them put on disguise. Lily was putting on her sunglasses with a mini scarf on her neck, while Ren was putting on a baseball cap. Lily who saw him came out from the room with the baseball cap looking so handsome and she was starstruck by his visual.

"Are you done?" asked Ren and Lily nodded. "Yes. How do I look?" asked Lily as she twirled in front of him. She looks beautiful.

"I don't think people would wear sunglasses in the middle of the night?" teased Ren. "Oh whatever, come on now~" said Lily as she rolled her eyes, she took his hands and both of them came out from the backdoor quietly.

"Augustin and my mother won't like this." Said Ren while both of them were coming out from the backdoor in disguise and they be watching to their right and left searching for the media. "shhh they won't know~" whispered Lily. After a few minutes of walking, finally they've reached the main road.

"We made it!" exclaimed Lily happily. "Let's go~" said Lily as she took Ren's hand and led the way. After walking for a few minutes, Ren noticed that they are in a night market. "A night market?" asked Ren and Lily nodded. "This is one of my favourite place. I used to go her with Amelia when we're stress about exam." Answered Lily.

"Come on, we have to try some foods and drinks~ it's on me, today." Smiled Lily. "I'm afraid they don't sell your Earl Grey Tea here~" added Lily making Ren laughed. Because she knows how much he loves his Earl Grey Tea. To be honest, Ren has never been to a night market before and today, will be his first time. He has never know that this kind of place exist in his country. Both of them were walking while holding hands and thank god, none of people there saw them as The Crown Prince and Princess to-be.

While they were walking, Lily stopped at a stall that sells some pastries. "Oh Ren, you gotta try this. It's so good." Said Lily as she ordered one for them. "Thank you sir." Said Lily as she paid the man.

"Here," said Lily as she tried to feed him the pastry and Ren was startled by her sudden action and Lily too, noticed that she's been super excited today till she forgot both of them has never been close enough to feed each other. But then, Ren just reached out the pastry using his mouth to taste it.

"Umm it's good. I like the strawberry cream." Said Ren and making Lily let out her small chuckle. "It's good right? I like the strawberry cream too just how I like the strawberry cake." Smiled Lily as she took a bite from the pastry too. Literally did both of them know, they just did and indirect kiss.

*god we did not just did that* thought Lily while munching the pastry. Then, she begin to take a bite of the pastry again. Without she noticed, there's a strawberry cream on the side of her lips. Ren who saw it, stopped them for walking for a while and stand in front of her and wiped the cream on her lips using his thumb.

This time, it was Lily who was startled by his sudden action. "A princess shouldn't eat messily." Said Ren and Lily's cheek turned pink as she was feeling so shy. "T-thanks." Said Lily. "So where are we going next?" asked Ren.

"There." Said Lily pointing to the bridge with colourful lights on it.

"The bridge?" asked Ren and Lily nodded. "Okay then~" said Ren as he gave her his charming smile.
