Regan went to his office to immerse himself in work but his line of thoughts was always interrupted by Anna. He was a sharp man who could see through people's soul and read their minds out. However, she was an enigma for him. The more he tried to understand her, the more she left him bewildered. The distinct attributes of her personality were intruding his mind time and again. The way she acted towards his concern left him bemused as initially he was unable to comprehend her reasons for being so harsh all of a sudden, but later he thought she does not seem to deserve his care and concern in the first place. He was exasperated on her reaction and infuriated at his empathy towards her. He thought that he badly needed a break from all the chaos that was messing up his mind.
He decided to call up his friend, Drake Miller who was his best pal since high school and went to Club Trinity. He directly went to the VIP lounge where Drake was already waiting for him. He sat on the couch and ordered for a vodka. As soon as it arrived, he gulped it down in one shot and asked for another.
"Whoa man! What's wrong with you? Take it easy." Drake tried to stop him but he gave him a look which said dare-you-say-anything which made him quite. He waited till his rage and annoyance subsided. He sat patiently by his side waiting for him to speak. When he started speaking, he was already down with four glasses which made him a little tipsy.
It was uncanny for him to see Regan behave in such a way. He could easily guess that something was bothering him in the worst way. He already knew about his business deal with the Watsons as apart from being a friend, he was also the chief legal advisor at Knights Corporation.
"Anastasia Prescott" He mumbled her name. Drake heard him speaking her name. He knew who was she but he could not understand that what she has to do with Regan's present state.
He heard his voice again. "She came today. I met her and since then I could not stop myself from thinking about her. You are my friend, my legal advisor. Just advice me on how can I get her out of my mind." His speech slurred but he kept on speaking about her.
"You know what? She is veryyyy beautiful. She is actually...mmmm....veryyyy nice. She is veryyyy different. Everything was okay but.....but she rejected me. Me? " He then extended his hand to lift another glass which was held by Drake who said,
"Stop it Reg... Don't drink too much that you could not handle it the next morning. It's toxic for you."
Regan chuckled at his statement. He pointed towards the glass and said, "She is toxic for me not this."
When Drake heard him, he was shocked as he was The Regan Knight who was every girl's dream and the most eligible bachelor of Seattle. Moreover, it was the first time when he was hearing about a girl from him as he never cared for any of them. He didn't even believe in serious relationships that's why he always opted for casual flings only. And today, he was talking about a certain someone who not only rejected him but also disturbed his peace of mind. He could not stop himself from laughing out loud.
"My, my... So, you finally got someone who is just as strong headed as you." He laughed again.
Regan smacked his head and said, "Stop it.... I called you here to help me out not for making myself a laughing clown for you ."
"Okay, okay.... You will get loads of advices from me but for now we should head back as you need rest. We'll talk about it in the morning when you'll be sober enough to take in my advices." He then helped him to take him to his home where he went into a deep slumber as soon as his head hit the soft pillow of his bed.

It was almost midnight when Anna reached home. The weekend was quite hectic for her as she had ran errands. Moreover, the fever had taken a toll over her. Although, she took medicines and it gradually subsided, she was exhausted. When she entered the living room, she saw Richard sitting on the sofa with a book in his hand. She was surprised to see him awake at this time of hour.
"Dad?"
Richard looked in her direction and stood up. As soon as she went to him, he gently engulfed her in a loving hug.
"Welcome home princess and congratulations for an another successful deal." He said with a hint of pride and happiness in his voice.
"Thank you so much Dad. But you still didn't answer me. Why are you still awake? You know that I would be late right?"
"I was waiting for my daughter who was out for a couple of days and sick. I just wanted to see you and ensure myself that you are good."
"Dad, I am good but just a bit tired. Don't worry."
"How was your meeting with the Knights? Mia informed me everything but I want to know it from you. She also mentioned that you met Mr. and Mrs Knight. How are they?"
"Dad, dad just give me a break. Let's sit over there first." She took him to the couch where both of them sat together.
"You know what Dad? Sometimes I wonder if Mia works for me or you?" She rolled her eyes on which he chuckled. "As for the meeting, it was good and positive. And yes, I did meet Mr. and Mrs. Knight, they are lovely people." She said with a small smile.
"And what about Regan Knight? I have heard that he is not someone easy to deal with." The question stunned her as for now he was the last person about whom she wanted to talk about.
