DREAM'S OF VIKRAM

Chapter 3:

After lunch, Vikram said bye to Divya and went back to his hostel room for a nap. In his dream, he was on the Titanic, pretending to be Jack with Divya as Rose. Everything was fine until the ship started shaking a lot, and a huge creature showed up, tossing him around. Just when things got scary, Salman woke him up and took him outside to play cricket.

As Vikram rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the strange dream, he felt relieved to be out of that chaotic Titanic scene. It was like being in a movie, but way too intense for a nap. Once outside, with the sun shining and the sound of laughter from the cricket game, Vikram quickly forgot about the wild dream. He joined in, enjoying the simple pleasure of playing with friends under the open sky, grateful for the wake-up call from Salman.

As Vikram woke up fully, he noticed something special—the bond between the students and the guard, Ramu. They chatted and joked like old pals, showing a friendly connection. After the cricket game ended, Vikram decided to talk to Ramu and learn more about him. Ramu shared that he had once been a student at the college himself but decided to stay and work as a guard because he liked being around the students.

Listening to Ramu's story, Vikram admired his choice to stay and be a part of the college community. It showed how much he valued the atmosphere and the people there. Ramu's decision to become a guard was more than just a job; it was a way for him to continue being a part of something he loved. Vikram felt a sense of respect for Ramu and appreciated the warmth and camaraderie he brought to the college environment.

Impressed by Ramu's dedication, Vikram decided to ask about his personal life. He was curious about Ramu's marriage and how much he earned. Ramu happily shared that he was married and earned about 50k every month, with a raise of 3k every month. Hearing this, Vikram was surprised. He knew people who had graduated and got jobs in big software companies, but they didn't make as much money as Ramu did.

Vikram couldn't believe it. He thought graduates with fancy jobs earned a lot, but here was Ramu, earning more as a guard. It made him rethink what success really meant. He realized that a good job wasn't just about the salary; it was also about finding fulfillment and happiness in what you do. Ramu's story showed him that sometimes, happiness and satisfaction could be found in unexpected places.

Ramu was curious about Vikram's dreams, so Vikram told him he wanted to be a detective. But, Vikram's parents wanted him to do a diploma instead. Even though Vikram really wanted to be a detective, he decided to listen to his parents. That's because they treated him like family, and their daughter treated him like a brother, which meant a lot to him.

It was a tough decision for Vikram. He loved the idea of being a detective, but he cared about his family too. So, he chose to go along with his parents' wishes. He believed in showing them respect and making sure everyone in the family was happy. For Vikram, balancing his own dreams with what his family wanted was a big challenge, but he thought it showed his strong character and the values his family had taught him.

Ramu thought Vikram's determination was interesting and told him not to give up on his dream. Vikram felt grateful for Ramu's support and went away, deciding to follow his dream while still listening to his parents. Ramu thought Vikram was capable of reaching his goals because he saw how committed Vikram was.

As Vikram walked away, he felt encouraged by Ramu's words. He was determined to chase his dream of becoming a detective, but he also wanted to make his parents proud. Vikram believed he could do both if he worked hard. Ramu trusted Vikram and thought he had the skills to make his dreams come true.
