Dating -- Threat

"That is a yes... Ops. " Wilson widened his eyes whilst a smile crept across his face. "I wish it was more than friendship... Thank you for accepting me, "he whispered. Sophia could say nothing, she could not move. She was just looking at him.

Wilson gave her a quick hug and entered his car. He said he would call her when he got home.Sophia nodded in response and watched him until he drove off. Sophia was still standing there when Tracy ran out to meet her, smiling and jubilating, shouting that "it calls for celebration." Sophia smiled and told her not to jump to a conclusion, that he was just a friend.

Mrs. Bernard did not raise any conversation concerning Wilson's visit, but she was just smiling as Tracy started making jest of her friend.

"Do you ask if he was the one that brought flowers?" Tracy asked.

"How will I ask that? What if he is not the one? I will now look stupid. She said defensively.

"It's okay then, but I know he is the one. Who else? " She sighed.

"I've heard you, thanks," she said calmly.

As they were about to close for the day, Sophia's phone beeped. She checked what it was. It was a message from Wilson, telling her if they could have a date the next day. And she should pick the time.

She didn't want her friend to see it, so she quickly typed "okay" and sent it to Wilson.

Mrs. Bernard was so happy that day, thanking God for her daughter, because she could tell that Wilson truly loved her daughter. But she kept it to herself because she did not want to force things.

Meanwhile, Joe was around when Wilson was there. He saw when Sophia was talking with a man. He felt jealous that the man could make him lose the chance of marrying Sophia.

He thought of what he could do. He thought that if he could threaten the man, he would back out. So he flagged a bike and followed Wilson. But unfortunately, the bike tire burst before he could get another bike, and the man was already out of sight.

He was very sad that he couldn't track him down. Another thought came to his mind. He gave a wicked smile and went on his way.

Wilson was the happiest person that day. He couldn't hide his joy. He quickly dialed his friend's number. And inform him to come the following day that he has just for him and it will not be interesting on the phone.

There was a piece of paper hanging on the edge of the door. He checked the content of the letter. It surprised him at what he saw.

"Me? Is this a threat or something?" He laughed as he entered his room.

He thought of who the person could be and concluded in his mind that he could not be any other person than Cynthia.

The threat did not move him a bit. Wilson didn't let that get to him. He went to the bathroom and had a cold bath. He could not lay his hand on any fast food, so he went straight to the kitchen to prepare noodles for himself. As he was cutting the onions, the thought of Sophia came to his mind.

He remembered his conversation with her mother and smiled to himself. He concluded that Mrs. Bernard would make a good in-law and he could tell that her mother had already accepted him as her in-law from the way she was chatting with him.

He thanked the heavens that he went today and he could meet her mother, which would make things easier for him. He made the noodles, ate his food, and laid on the bed.

Sophia and her mother got to her apartment. She expected her mother to start a conversation about what had happened earlier, but her mother didn't. She was in the kitchen cooking Sophia's favorite food.

Sophia wasn't comfortable with that, but she was happy that her mother was happy. He could tell that she already liked him. She joined her mother in the kitchen.

"Mum, well done! Let me continue so that you can freshen up, "she said, and she got to the kitchen.

Her mother smiled and told her not to worry, and they chatted as they cooked. Sophia spoke quickly. "Mum, that was him, the CEO I told you about, though he is just a friend," Sophia said quickly.

"I know. He looks responsible. He must have come from a have come meme," she said confidently.

"Mum, how do you know? You will say you already like him, "she said, rolling her eyes. Her mother laughed and continued with her food.

"Follow your mind and don't judge a book by its cover," she advised.

Sophia nodded in response as she continued with their food. Mrs. Bernard told her daughter that she saw Joe when he passed her shop. And there was no doubt that he hid in order to see who had come to greet you. Sophia was angry and confused.

"Why can't he leave me alone? Why is he after my life? If he comes here, I will surprise him at what I will do for him. That wicked fellow," Sophia screamed.

Mrs. Bernard calmed her daughter down and advised her to tell Wilson all her past relationships anytime she was opportune to do that. She explained further that Joe could go the extra mile of spoiling her in the presence of Wilson, or even threaten Wilson to leave his girlfriend alone.

Sophia was scared and lost in thought. He was thinking of a way out of the problem with Joe. She concluded in her mind that she would speak one-on-one with him, and that she had moved on.

"What!?" Sophia shouted as she received a threatening message from a strange number. She held her chest. Her heart pounded furiously, ready to jump out of her chest. "Who could this be?" she asked herself. She rolled on the bed, worrying about who could have send the threat and didn't know when she dozed off.
