Chapter 34
Mila's pov
Truthfully, I didn't feel like getting up from my bed this morning, everything felt so bleak and my body just would not try to face the day ahead as my mind immediately drifted back to the incident with Angel yesterday.
My whole body quivered at the mere thought of seeing him at the office today, as I dreaded his reaction because of the way he left yesterday so uncannily. I feared he was going to take out his anger on me.
" Would he get me fired, or even worse ask for my resignation," I asked myself.
No, I just can't lose my only paying job, because I knew how hard it was getting this one," I cried to myself.
"But that is what you get for sleeping with your boss and also breaking his heart," my subconscious taunts me.
Rolling my eyes at how right my subconscious was, I hurriedly got up from bed and made my way to the bathroom.
Stepping into the showers, the water instantly washed away all my worries, as it gave me a sense of peace and tranquillity.
