Mila's pov
"We are going to have so much fun," Maya continued to squeal as we drove for hours
Smiling towards her, basking in her excitement, even though I protested going on this trip, I knew that I needed this time away
Time away from the city, and time away from my thoughts of Angel
I thought I could rid myself of the feelings I have for him, I thought being with Armando would help free me from his clutches, But seeing him in at the office with those perfect eyes of his and those lips that curve up into a cute arc whenever he was thinking.
I just couldn't help but wonder what we could have been if we had met under different circumstances
If he wasn't my boss and me his little assistant.
We are so starcrossed and not meant to be and I had to accept that
