Chapter 66

''Judy, come with daddy, I will take you to bed, okay?'' Richard told his daughter. The way her eyes were red and watery moved him to feel pity for her. He wondered how Susan could be so stiff-necked, ignoring their daughters feelings all because of hers, Susan's own selfishness.

''What do you think you are doing?'' Susan asked Richard sternly. She seized Judy in her arms, and gave Richard a nasty look.

''What does it look like I'm doing? I am taking her to bed,'' Richard replied.

''She's still going to cry,'' Susan told Richard. Only her knew how Judy loved to sleep at night, with her arms clinging on to her mother dearly. ''Besides, she wants to sleep with me,'' she added.

''As she does want to sleep with me as well,'' Richard told Susan. ''Right, Judy?'' he turned to ask his daughter.

''Mummy, I want to sleep with both of you, please, mummy, please,'' Judy continued to beg her mother.
