In the elevator...

"Ck! Those women are so noisy. How irritating! " Nan Shen who was smiling up until now suddenly stopped. His face turned cold and he looked irritated.

His previously angelic face had completely turned demonic. His black eyes darkened and somehow the air inside the elevator turned dismal.

He looked no different than a demon. The look on Nan Shen's eyes was so scary that even the secretary didn't dare to look straight to his eyes. The aura around him also changed from warm spring to a hot hell.

The secretary who was standing beside him got goosebumps. He instantly had a wry smile on his face. This was their CEO's true face. He wasn't an angel at all, he was a fallen angel! The secretary fixed his glasses and secretly sighed. The CEO seemed to have been in a bad mood since yesterday because of him being unable to find Tan Hua.

The secretary unconsciously shuddered when he recalled about that. That day their CEO had a sour face all day and he got irritated for every little thing.

Many people fell victim to CEO Nan Shen-sama's bad mood and he was one of them. Yesterday the CEO poured away the coffee he asked him to made just because the temperature wasn't right.

'How cruel! Their CEO was a big bully!'

Tan Hua was trying her best to mop up the floor in front of the elevator but somehow she couldn't do it. She used too much water which resulted in the floor being slippery.

Tan Hua looked at her work's result and sighed. She had dried away the extra water but the floor was still slippery. Of course, this happened because Tan Hua didn't dip the mop into the water bucket. She instead, poured the water from the bucket to the floor and swiped at the floor with the mop she held on.

It'd be impossible if the floor didn't become slippery.

Tan Hua thought hard about this matter and finally decided to put a wet floor sign near the elevator area. She put three signs from the elevator area to the CEO's office area.

She felt proud of her ingenious idea. Now if anyone tripped she could say it wasn't her fault. 'If they can't take a moment to read the sign then if they trip that's just karma!'

When Tan Hua was walking away from the elevator area and was about to turn left, leaving the area she heard a 'DING!' echo throughout the floor.

Tan Hua's stopped walking and she turned her head toward the elevator curious about who was coming up.

The third floor was the CEO's private floor so there rarely any office workers here aside from office boys or cleaners like her. She hadn't seen their CEO's face even once since she started working here so she felt this would be a good opportunity to take a good look at the CEO.

"Will the CEO be a man or a woman if he was a man then is he young or old? It would be better if he was young! Ah and don't forget he must be handsome as hell!"

Tan Hua sneaked a peek to the elevator area while hiding her body behind a pillar, curious to see their company's CEO's true appearance!

As soon as he saw the doors open a tall handsome man walked out accompanied by a fretful secretary. "Don't walk too fast Nan-sama....wait...what if you fall..." The secretary chased after Nan Shen who walked away too fast, eager to go back to his private office.

"Hmph. There's no way I will fa-"

GUBRAK!

Before Nan Shen could finish his sentence, his foot arrived at the place which was cleaned by Tan Hua earlier and in the next second, he splendidly tripped and fell surprising everyone with the scene.

THUMP!

"CEO Nan! A-are you alright?" The secretary was shocked when he saw the always composed Nan Shen fell with his butt facing the floor.

'W-what the hell?! He tripped?! He...he? This honorable CEO tripped and fell?'

Nan Shen's face gradually turned dark when he just realized that he fell in a 'gorgeous' way right in front of his secretary.

His image of being a ruthless devil, his charismatic image, and so on vanished in an instant when he fell like that, in a funny way moreover.

"T-this....who the hell cleaned up the floor and made it slippery like this?! I will find the culprit for sure! Just wait!"

When Nan Shen was about to explode, Tan Hua who was hiding near the place nearly tripped too and fell if she hadn't gripped the pillar.

'Gyaa! What the hell? Wasn't that the evil second male lead Nan Shen?!'

Tan Hua instantly broke in a cold sweat. She entered Nan Shen's company and worked under him? She accidentally met with the devil who wanted to kill her the first time they met again?

Tan Hua cleverly decided to run away from the 'crime' scene but unfortunately, the floor below her feet was also cleaned up by herself so when she ran away at a high speed she splendidly fell with her face hitting the hard floor.

Alarmed Nan Shen yelled out, "Who's there?! Come out! Wu Yin, get me that person behind that pillar!" Nan Shen stood up carefully as he looked at the pillar. He quickly ordered his secretary, Wu Yin to catch that person for him.

When Nan Shen heard the GUBRAK! sound, he knew that someone was there. Nan Shen was a man with high pride so with the possibility of someone saw his embarrassing state earlier he went crazy. He would catch that person and silenced them for eternity!!

If that person saw him when he fell then that person might tell their friends about it and his reputation would be ruined!

Tan Hua's face hurt a lot and she struggled to stand up. She was going to quickly escape that place when unfortunately Wu Yin caught her back collar from behind.

"Got you!" Wu Yin grabbed Tan Hua back collar when she was about to run away again for the second time.

"GYA!" Tan Hua's body was dragged by Wu Yin and she couldn't even struggle. Her neck was being strangled by her tie making it hard to breathe. Moreover, her hands were too short to hit Wu Yi's body to make him let her go.

So just like that, she was dragged to Nan Shen who was already waiting inside his office. Wu Yu threw Tan Hua to the floor and made her kneel in front of Nan Shen's chair.

Nan Shen crossed his legs handsomely as he looked down upon Tan Hua with dark eyes. His eyes were so cold but strangely he had a smile on his face!

Maybe his fans and other people would be fooled with his smile but not Tan Hua. When she saw a glimpse of Nan Shen's face, she wanted to pee her pants.

'His eyes didn't even smile! What kind of 'angelic smile' is that? That's a sadistic smile! Who the hell said that it is was angelic smile?!'

"Ah sorry to frighten you just keep calm okay? I'm not going to harm you..." With the so-called angelic smile, Nan Shen flashed a super bright smile to Tan Hua.

Nan Shen called her here because he knew that she was the culprit behind his fall. But he hadn't recognized her as the one who had spilled the tea to his wristwatch week ago. So in Tan Hua's mind if he recognized her she'd certainly die.

Tan Hua lowered her head to the point of Nan Shen could only see her head. She tried to cover her face so that Nan Shen couldn't look at her face.

Nan Shen raised his eyebrow when he saw Tan Hua lower her head.

'Was he afraid? How weird he had his usual smile on his face. Nah. Whatever. Let's 'interrogate' him first.'

"I just want to ask you, what are you doing in this third floor? It's so suspicious for someone to enter my private floor" Nan Shen once again flashed his 'best' smile while tapping his finger to his armchair.

Tan Hua nearly choked on her saliva. She unconsciously flinched when Nan Shen asked her THAT.

She couldn't say that she had just finished cleaning the floor then that'd mean she directly admitted that she was the culprit behind the slippery floor.

She must create a lie!

'Okay okay, calm down Tan Hua....let's say that cliché reason I often see in dramas. Here we go!'

"A...a...I'm new here so...I didn't know about this floor being restricted... I'm lost...." Tan Hua tried her best to lower her voice to made Nan Shen didn't recognize her voice.

Unfortunately, Tan Hua was an honest girl so she couldn't lie! When she lied somehow she would suddenly sweat a lot.

Tan Hua's palms began to sweat and her back was also drenched in a cold sweat when she just finished creating her 'lie'.

Nan Shen smirked when he heard Tan Hua's bad lie.

'Heh. Did he think he was an idiot? This boy over here wore an office boy uniform and he was caught on this third floor. He wasn't an idiot. Only an office boy could clean up the floor in his company building and he very coincidentally was lost here. Ha! what a bad liar!'

This boy was no doubt the culprit.

But Tan Hua didn't think so. Tan Hua had wanted to insist on her words but after thinking it again Nan Shen said he would forgive her if she said the truth right?

Tan Hua believed Nan Shen as someone who wouldn't take back his words as he had to maintain his reputation so without raising her head, Tan Hua told Nan Shen the truth.

"Y-yes b-boss...I- I am a new office boy here and just finished cleaning up the floor....I-I was there and about to went back to the first floor when this man caught me." Tan Hua squeezed her pants trying not to pee her pants.

Nan Shen nodded his head in satisfaction. 'Is this boy unexpectedly obedient wasn't he? Hehehe now....time to lay the trap.'

"Ahh, you said that the reason why the floor was slippery is because of you?" Nan Shen quietly set a trap in his words and the oblivious Tan Hua instantly got caught in it.

"Ah, yes, yes," Tan Hua nodded her head while still trying to cover up her face.

"So the one who made me fall was you." Nan Shen didn't ask, he just threw a statement, his face still having the same smile.

'....what....? ....wait for WHAT? Sh-she is busted!'

Tan Hua nearly peed her pants for the n-th time now. How could she be so stupid to fall into this devil's trap?

Tan Hua grabbed her head in frustration and subconsciously raised her head to stare daggers at the devil CEO. She hated this man! This man is too evil!

Unfortunately, this one action of Tan Hua's even though she only raised her head for a second successfully added 1 more thing to her misfortune list.

'You're asking me to die aren't you?!' Tan Hua found the courage to dare not raise her head. No matter what happened even though she indeed made Nan Shen fall, she absolutely would not expose her identity as the office boy Nan Shen wanted to kill. But

Tan Hua didn't know that Nan Shen didn't have the intention to kill her anymore. He searched for her talent in fashion design. It was only limited to that.

Nan Shen raised his eyebrow when he saw Tan Hua freeze like a statue. Tan Hua didn't raise her head like what he wanted.

'You wanna escape huh? Disobedient children need to be punished.'

Then the next second Nan Shen did something that both Tan Hua and the silent Wu Yin didn't expect.

"Come here. Come closer." Nan Shen didn't get mad when Tan Hua didn't do as he said. He only crooked his index finger gesturing Tan Hua to came closer.

The way he spoke irritated Tan Hua as she felt that she was being treated like a dog but Tan Hua was also relieved that Nan Shen didn't get mad at her.

She innocently followed Nan Shen's command and came closer to Nan Shen while she was still kneeling.

When Tan Hua was close enough, Nan Shen's right leg moved with a SWOSHH, and the next second it was already near Tan Hua's face.

Nan Shen put his right foot under Tan Hua's chin and then he lifted her chin with his shoes!

"I told you to raise your head midget didn't you hear me? Ckckck! Bad child, you need to be punished!" Nan Shen chuckled like a devil from hell after he finally saw Tan Hua face.

Nan Shen's attitude changed a complete 180° from his previous attitude. From an angel into a demon. He no longer pretended to be nice in front of Tan Hua as he knew Tan Hua had realized his true face.

Tan Hua's forehead twitched in anger even though she didn't show it on his face. She wanted to wreck Nan Shen's ankle with her bare hands, but she managed to hold on.

Nan Shen looked at the miserable little being who was kissing his shoes like his life depended on it and couldn't help to chuckle.

Seeing Tan Hua's flustered face, it only triggered his desire to bully him more! It was exciting and fun to see his miserable face.

"Stop it. I won't kill you" Nan Shen retracted his legs and made Tan Hua kissed empty air.

'What? Is this real? Nan Shen won't kill her? This isn't a dream?'

Tan Hua pinched her cheek and when she felt the pain she knew for sure that this wasn't a dream.

"Thank you, boss, thank you for sparing my life!! I will do anything for boss!" Tan Hua called Nan Shen her boss when nobody else called him like that.

In Tan Hua's mind, Nan Shen was suitable to be called 'boss' as he looked like a mean boss rather than a charismatic CEO.

Nan Shen shook his head while holding back his laughter. 'This office boy's reaction was truly good. Even though he called him with 'boss', strangely it felt pleasant to his ear.'

"Hmm. I won't kill you. At least for now." With a grin, Nan Shen cupped his chin on his right palm as he looked down at the boy who was still kneeling in front of him.

He wanted to bully this boy because it was rare to find someone he could vent his stress onto and this boy was a perfect toy for him. Looking at his various funny expressions and his weird reactions, he was confident that this boy could amuse him for a long time.

Something exploded in Tan Hua's mind when she heard Nan Shen say 'at least for now'.

The words 'for now' echoed inside her mind making her felt dizzy.

Tan Hua's cheerful expression instantly turned sour as if she just ate something bad. You could even see a dark cloud above her head and started pouring rain onto her head.

"Why?" With teary eyes, Tan Hua looked at Nan Shen while preparing to grab his leg again.

"What? Any complaints? If you want to hug my leg again then go ahead and maybe I'll change my mind." Nan Shen suddenly got an idea from when he previously wanted to keep his legs away from Tan Hua's greedy claws. He thought it would be amusing to see her try to catch and hug his leg.

"Really? If I hug boss's leg again then I will not be killed even in the far future?" Tan Hua being a super-dense girl quickly believed what Nan Shen said.

Although usually, she wasn't dumb or innocent it was just that her weakness was handsome men, and Nan Shen, unfortunately for her, was a handsome man.

Nan Shen moved his leg away just as Tan Hua was about to hug it.

Tan Hua didn't give up as she immediately chased the leg Nan Shen moved.

Nan Shen moved his leg away quickly even though he was sitting. Tan Hua had to jump, move right, move left, move forward, and so on to grab that golden thigh.

Wu Yin who was watching the two of them wanted to burst out laughing.

'This scene looked like a master wagging a toy to prank his dog!'

Nan Shen had wanted to tease Tan Hua till she couldn't move anymore but looking at her dejected face Tan Hua reminded him of his deceased dog. With large teary eyes and fluffy hair, Tan Hua looked like a dog in Nan Shen's eyes.

'Aishh a good boy had to be rewarded right? I should hold back otherwise my new toy would run away.'

"Fine I'll guarantee your life but starting from today you will not only be an office boy but also be my lackey. In other words, my slave" Nan Shen bent down and stroked Tan Hua's hair as if he was rewarding a good dog with a stroke.

"Ugh, I understand boss..." After giving her goodbyes Tan Hua left the office and continued her work until she felt like she would be a zombie.

"Gah!" Tan Hua worked 3 times longer than her minimum work hours to gain extra payment but she immediately regretted her decision.

Her knees hurt and her body was sore. She didn't know that her body couldn't endure such hard work.

Even though was evening already he didn't look tired at all.

Tan Hua was staring at the man's face who was none other than her new boss, Nan Shen. Tan Hua even nearly drolled while admiring God's beautiful creation.

Nan Shen raised his eyebrow handsomely when he saw that dumb look on Tan Hua's face. Tan Hua looked like a dumb dog waiting to be fed.

'So dumb. But I like it.'

"What are you looking at? Am I that handsome?" With a grin and slightly smug smile, Nan Shen crooked his finger toward Tan Hua.

"Yes, boss! Boss is the most handsome man in the world!" Tan Hua blurted out her thoughts reflexively as she energetically nodded her head agreeing with Nan Shen's words.

It wasn't the first time someone praised his good looks but somehow when he heard his new doggo's praise, he felt embarrassed.

Maybe it was because he didn't expect Tan Hua who was supposed to hate him after he made her his slave, to praise him so honestly.

'Hm-hm this Tan Huo boy is a good boy~'

"Ehem! So Huo Huo, what are you doing here?" With slightly red ears, Nan Shen diverted the topic and asked Tan Hua instead.

The driver flinched when he heard Tan Hua's innocent question. The driver wanted to quickly warn Tan Hua to sit in front as the boss might explode soon but who knew the next second he'd witnessed something bizarre.

Nan Shen opened the door, picked Tan Hua up by her collar, and...

Threw her inside the car's trunk.
