Chapter 11: A Mission to the Academy

I was walking along the corridors back to the dorm, when I noticed someone not far from where I am standing, so I approached him. I saw him bleeding on the thigh, so I panicked a bit.

"Oh my god! Are you okay?! Hold up, I'll call for help! He-"

"Just shut up and let me heal, will you!" He said, making me stop halfway and look at him with shock. I also saw how his bruise healed as quickly as I thought.

"One of his powers? Maybe?" Was the thought that came inside of me as I calm myself down.

"What happened to you? How did you get that injury?" I asked and he looked at me first before answering.

"I was outside the gates when some fugitives found me and tried to steal what I had." He explained, making me crunch my brows.

"Why would you go out the school? We're prohibited to do so." I said and he just looked away.

"By the way, I heard some rumors around that you will be going out of the school for a quest. What for?" He asked, making me silent. I can't tell him the truth. But I also don't want him to be left behind, so...

"Let's just say that it's for the good of us all." I answered and he just nodded as an answer.

"I better get going now, I need to run some errands." He excused and I just nodded before he took his leave. "Goodluck with your journey." He said and I thanked him before leaving the other way. Then I remembered.

"What an idiot~ I forgot to ask his name." But I didn't think of it that much and just went back to the dorm. I still have so many things to pack for the trip.

Third Person

(Dawn Empire)

A meeting was held by the round table as the news of the Genesis Academy attack was brought to the queen days after the incident occured.

"I will not be surprised by that. Even if the school is well protected as always, it has no match with the power of Chang'e Moon." Jade mentioned, making all of them look at him with curious gazes, except of course, the Frost siblings and Jade.

"Well it is said that the Chang'e Moon comes out when a phoenix bearer is reborn, and only then shall it be seen. But the disadvantage of it, is the part that it will tell where the bearer is. That is why Genesis Academy was invaded." Sky explained.

"I am not really familiar with the story, for I never leaved the empire since babyhood. But my mother always tells me that that moon gives aditional power to the people shone by it." Imea explained.

"Yes your highness... But it only gives its power to the side of the bearer, which is the school and the people inside." All of them had a victorious sigh after hearing what Zandre said.

"Well the real reason why I called all of you, is because I need you to go and see what the school has become. We can't say that nothing bad had happened after all that ruckus, right? So please... Ready yourselves and go to Genesis Academy and see to it that everyone is doing fine. Report to me as soon as possible." She requested and everyone gave their respects.

"Your highness, may I say something?" Zandre asked, making everyone look at him. After seeing the queen's nod he answered. "I am not really against about what you said, but for your protection and the empire, I will leave Jade to protect you." He said, making Jade surprised and pout.

"What? But... But-"

"No buts. We need to hurry and see what happened there. And the four of us are enough to go." Zandre explained. Jade on the other hand felt betrayed.

"The empire will be fine, for now. And it is best for all of you to go, since, you are the legendary elites, you need to be together always." Imea explained, making Jade's face lighten up.

"Thank you~ your majesty!" He said excitedly and joined the squad, and while he was walking towards them, he sticks his tongue out like a kid bullying Zandre, so everyone giggled at this.

"Excuse us your highness." Zandre said while everyone paid their respects.

"Good luck with your journey, General, everyone." Imea said and without anything more to say, they all left the room to prepare for the mission they were given to.

"So~ Jade? Why do you want to go back to the academy?" Sky asked hin as they walk towards their rooms.

"I just missed seeing that place. It has been how many years since, I last saw its sorroundings. Also, I want to see if some changes have happened." He said excitedly and smiled from ear to ear. "Will my professors still remember me though? Or have they been replaced by now?" He asked again.

"Well we will find out later." Sky said and jump-walked, also excited for their mission.

At the back of everyone, Marc and Granger is walking side by side. But no one opened up a conversation. They just walked like some random stranger. Well, not until Marc asked.

"Are you excited about this?" Granger was surprised to hear him ask such question.

"Why would I be?" He asked and their voices are just audible for both of them to hear.

"Oh come on!" Marc said and nudged Granger by the shoulder while giggling. "The phoenix bearer is having her training at that place right? Don't tell me you're just excited for nothing. Are you crazy then?" He raised a brow while questioning the other.

"I'm not excited, please. Stop it with your delusions." Granger said, stopping by his tracks, making the other do the same. But he just crunched his brows when he saw Marc smiling cheekishly at him. "Now what?" He asked sounding pissed.

"Hmm~" Marc squinted his eyes, and looked away, still having that teasing smile. "If you say so~" He said and started to walk again, this time putting his hands at the back of his head and whistling.

Granger just sighed at this and started to walk. But his sweats dropped after what they talked about.

"How did he know?" He asked himself as he tried to act like nothing happened.

This is the first time that someone has read him. His emotions are always hidden, so no one really knows what he thinks or feel. Not until Marc asked him, making him really surprised.

"Should I try to avoid him now?" He thought, but then he disregarded the thought, because he knows that Marc will do no harm with him.

He just thought of acting like he doesn't know what the former was saying to keep himself hidden.

By the way, if you're wondering how they'll manage to go to Genesis Academy. Dean Jean summoned one of her minions, a dove, to Dawn Empire, for them to follow it to where the academy lies.
