Surprise

When they were shown their seats Diana couldn't stop looking at her surroundings and just admire the place. They were left alone for a few minutes to settle and relax while they think about what they would like to have. Diana couldn't wait any longer and just had to ask

"How in the hell did you afford this?" She asked him to which Ryan just gave a chuckle and looked at her smiling.

"What can I say, I know a few people who know a few people who can make things happen" Ryan answered

" So you didn't actually pay for this? " She asked

" Oh no darling, I paid for this heftily. It's no joke when they say this place is for the high class. But what's there to life if you don't enjoy the small that you have? Why make money and not use it? " He asked her

" Fair point " she replied

When it was time to order the menu had almost every kind of food that you can expect in a fancy hotel like that one. They ordered and ate their food which was surprisingly one of the best food that Diana had ever come across. Once they finished eating, Diana excused herself to go to the bathroom. She didn't necessarily need to use the washroom but she wanted to check in with Mitchell and give her the update on how the date was going. So after confirming she was alone in the washroom she called her.

"Hey, are you home yet or did you pass by the liquor store?" Diana asked jokingly knowing that Mitchell could probably have gone for a drink since she would be all alone in the house

"I went straight home, but now I'm starting to wonder why I didn't think of that in the first place" Mitchell answered with a groggy voice. She sounded like she had been woken up by Diana's call

"Wait a minute, were you asleep?" Diana asked

"Yeah, why?"

" How can you be asleep when I'm on a date with a guy I have barely known that much in the middle of the night? "

" Says the same person who was excited to go on this date. Of course I was asleep, you're in good hands "

" What if he does something to me? "

" Don't you think you're overreacting? Ryan is a good guy and I'm sure he can't do anything weird. I could see it in his eyes, he might be genuinely interested in you"

" You're saying that because you want to believe it so that you and you're car are safe "

" There's also that, anyway, where are you? Where did Ryan take you for your date just in case you disappear so that I know where to start looking for your body " Mitchell teased

" Ha ha, very funny. We're in Belfast hotel, the hotel that --" Diana was about to finish her statement when Mitchell cut her off

"--is in the outskirts of the city and one of the most prestigious hotels in the market. Please tell me you're joking" Mitchell said trying to hide her excitement

"No I'm not, wait how do you know about Belfast?" Diana asked

" Uhm hello, I deal with hotels and didn't you hear me saying the prestigious part. I must say, I underestimated Ryan. If it were me, that is a few extra points in the bag. That dude is definitely pulling all the stops. " Mitchell answered

" Yeah yeah, I have to go unless I want to make him wonder whether I wanted to go a number one, two or even a three if there's such a thing ". Diana said as she wind up the call and told her she'll keep her updated. When she went back to the table she found Ryan had already paid for the bill and was waiting for her.

"Dinner was good" she said as they walked out of the hotel. Outside, she could see a taxi waiting for them and thought that the night was about to come to an end.

"Well I thought it would be best that we first eat before we go to the next destination. What do you think about sea food?" Ryan asked as they approached the taxi and got in. Diana wasn't sure what Ryan meant by that but she knew that the night wasn't over yet

"I'm not really much of a fan" she responded while in the car

" Perfect " Ryan told her before turning his attention to the driver and telling him they were good to go

"Where are we going?" Diana asked him

"Well I suppose the whole Belfast hotel thing wasn't much of a surprise when I mentioned it out loud so this is the actual surprise and I intend on keeping my mouth shut about it till we get there. After a few minutes of driving the driver kind of gave Ryan a gesture to which Ryan understood what to do. So he turned to Diana with a smile on his face and pulled out a blindfold from his pocket showing it to Diana

"I can't afford ruining the surprise so early, you mind if I put these on you?" He asked

" I've seen this in movies, I put those on and I'm take to the woods where I barely know and tomorrow morning I make news headlines " Diana joked as she took the blindfold and put it on herself. Ryan and the driver couldn't help but laugh when she said this

"I'm just looking for a five star rating miss, I definitely don't want my review to say how I'm an accomplice to a serial killer" the driver said amidst his laugh

"Well I certainly hope that's the case, if not my best friend will come looking for me and trust me when I say that she will possibly hunt you down " Diana went on with the jokes as they all laughed

"You don't have anything to worry about, you're in safe hands" Ryan told her as he took her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze
