Anabella kept some distance between herself and her mother-in-law. She also looked at the clock to see how long her mother-in-law had been there.
These were not gesturing a polite lady should be showing, but Anabella could not help it. She felt irritated and agitated at the thought that her mother-in-law would spend much time here when Daniel was not home.
She had been here for 4 hours but had hardly spoken to Anabella. All she had done was shoot Anabella disappointed glances while Anabella tried her best to ignore them.
"Tsk, I had hoped that Daniel would come back once he knew I was waiting for him, but I see that it was a useless thought. I shall head out now. But before I go…here, take this. It is an invitation to my birthday party.
Even if you decide not to come, send Daniel and James to it. Otherwise, we might become a laughingstock of these people."
