Alyssa and I, sat on the bench not far from the field, there were shelves filled with weapons and others with metalic armours. The Kings put on the armours and then picked weapons that suits their taste.

Hades picked up a sword, Ares picked a staff while Lycan picked up a double edged sword. They were still talking and walking around the field, I was looking forward to seeing a supernatural battle but instead I was seeing a lot of banterings.

"Is this how they always behave?" I asked Alyssa with creased brows.

"Yea, they're more like brothers and it's an ethereal event to see them fight together,"

"What do you m..." I was about to ask but my words were left in my mouth as the real battle began. With unmatched speed, King Ares charged in on both King Hades and Chief Lycan, using his staff to attack, swinging it at an incredible pace while going back and forth.

They were both fast enough to dodge but still, the offense from Ares was jaw dropping, his speed was like a blur. He stood in the middle, with a maniac smile playing on his lips, glancing at them both and then at me, he winked at me again.

Hades charged in on Ares at an incredible speed, with his sword, his sword and Are's staff met, providing a spark and a wave that blew through the field, picking up dusts. They looked like blurs when they moved fast. Maybe because their movements were too fast for the human eye.

The atmosphere is tense as each King is determined to prove their dominance. King Hades, the cold-hearted demon King, exudes an aura of darkness, he commanded the shadows to do his bidding.

Black tentacles made of darkness, as big as trees, appeared behind him, like wings but instead, with six tentacles, his eyes were gleaming like black flames, burning with black fire.

A weird smile was on his face as his tentacles tried their hardest to get a hold of the other two kings. Ares eyes were gleaming blood red, and a maniacal smile played on his lips, his fangs and claws were out as he used his incredible speed to dodge the tentacles while using his claws and staff to slash them, but they just kept growing back.

And then there was the werewolf king, Lycan, he was the only on at the moment with a serious gaze. There was no maniacal smile whatsoever on his lips, instead, he was glaring. He demonstrated his brute strength and ferocity, unleashing his primal instinct in the battle.

He transformed, not into a full werewolf but there were black furs on his body, his hands had turned into powerful paws with sharp claws long enough to slice through metal. His eyes were glowing green and his eyebrows had extended hairs, making him look similar to a wolf.

He growled and with a calculative gaze, he lept, his double edged sword pointed straight to Ares, while also avoiding the tentacles. He landed with a thud behind Ares and grabbed him from behind, throwing him like a ragdoll in the air and then without waiting for him to land, he lept again and slashed Ares in the gut, adding force to his fall.

BOOM!!!

A big hole was formed on the floor and Ares groaned in pain. "Seems like the dog has grown stronger," He smirked, climbing out of the hole, the blood dripping from his stomach closed up as if nothing had happened.

A tentacle from Hades grabbed a hold of Lycan, whose attention was solely focused on Ares, it lifted him in the air and hitting him on the ground.

BOOM!!!

BHAM!!!

Hades swung Lycan through and fro, hitting him on the floor like a piece of garbage. While walking towards him. Upon getting to him, he punched Lycan in the face, the impact sent Lycan flying and crashing on the grounds of the field, rolling to a painful halt.

"Argh," He groaned, getting back up on his feet.

I gasped, my hands flying to my mouth, Hades looked like the devil just now, while beating up Lycan, he looked as if he was solely enjoying it, like he had been looking forward to it for a long time.

"Is this how they always have their...friendly fight?" I asked in bewilderment.

"Yes, My lady," Alyssa replied with a nod.

"It's brutal!" I exclaimed, it was fun but at the same time terrifying.

"You will get used to it," She replied, as if she was enjoying the brawl, her attention and gaze focused on the three regional Kings.

"In this case, I don't think someone's gonna win," I said in awe.

"Oh someone always does," Alyssa replied.

"Who?"

"Me," She replied and took out a stele, she drew a weird symbol in mid air and she teleported right before my eyes. I jolted looking around me in awe.

Alyssa appeared on the field, the heavy wind caused by the brawl of the powerful kings blew the dust off the field, also blowing her white dress and ebony hair in rhythm, making her look like a goddess.

A smile paid on her lips as she took out her stele again, "Hey boys!" She called, and their attention turned towards her simultaneously.

"Aègés prótè," She casted, drawing some of that same weird symbol in the air. The symbol turned into vapour and then arrows was formed, thousands of them beside Alyssa and then a bow and arrow appeared on her hand.

She drew her arrow and released, causing the rest to follow, it was raining arrows on the King's, and they looked neverending.

Hades was quick to form a barrier, turning the tentacles into a dark circular smoke sphere which made the arrows bounce back. However the remaing two kings weren't too lucky.

Lycan was the first to get hit on the foot and then Ares on the back. They groaned and fell to the ground with a thud. Alyssa made the arrows dissipate, even the ones stuck in the bodies of the Vampire and Werewolf chief, their injuries, healing almost immediately.

I was impressed, so impressed. Alyssa was powerful and brave, although she couldn't get Hades, she was still skilled enough to get those two.

Back home, women were known to be weak and feble creatures, a pawn for those ungrateful beings called men. But here it was different, they had supernatural powers and strengths. Trust the universe to be unfair to me once more and make me a feble human even in the underworld.

"If you were going to get in, you should have at least gave us a warning," I heard Ares voice and it jolted me back to reality.

"You're a vampire, you should have sensed it. Unless you did, but you couldn't do anything about it, weakling." Alyssa smirked and walked away, heading in my direction.

I stood up with an awestricken expression, I gazed at her as if she was my hero and idol and she blushed, tucking her hair behind her ears. "Whoa, you were great," I whispered, unable to find my voice.

"Thank you," She replied with a smile, "Shall we?" She extended her arm and I took it and we practically skipped away, seems like I had made a very good friend in this place.

Ares scoffed, "We showcased raw power, but all she noticed was Alyssa's?"

"She did win," Lycan replied.

"But we should have won, Hades blocked her attacks, but he refused to fight back," Ares rolled his eyes.

"I told you, I don't fight women," Hades said.

"And this wasn't a competition, just a friendly combat," Lycan contributed.

"Try convincing yourself, but we all know we did this to lmpress Queen Hazel," Ares replied with a smile.

"Well, maybe except Hades, he doesn't need to impress anyone, most especially his wife," Ares said again, with a snap, his cloak flew in his direction, settling on his arm and then he walked away. Leaving Lycan and Hades standing in awkward silence.

"What's wrong with you, you seem distracted since you saw Hazel," Hades finally said something.

"What...it's nothing," He replied.

"I noticed the way you gaze at her..."

"...I said it's nothing, okay...just that, it's weird to see a human with features like that, she's too stunning to be a human," He itched his nape.

"That can't be all, I know there's something going on with you, and I'm gonna find out sooner or later," Hades said and then walked away too, heading in the same direction Ares went.

Lycan sighed, running his fingers through his braided hair. When suddenly, a voice spoke in his head.

"Why didn't you tell him,"

"Tell him what Blaze?" Lycan asked. "There's nothing to tell him,"

"Oh there is,"

"There isn't, so shut the fuck up,"

"Suit yourself, but we are the one who will feel the pain, the pain of seeing our mate with someone else, Hades of all people,"
