Chapter 47

Corky looked dumbfounded while holding the piece of paper. “What’s this? A written contract that you want me to sign, saying we’re no longer boyfriends?” His tone was of frustration and anger. He tossed the piece of paper back to Jax and growled, “Fuck your contract, asshole! And fuck you!” He stood and began his exit from the lounge, shaking his head and mumbling something that Jax couldn’t hear because of the boisterous noise around them.

“Corky! Corky, hold on!” Jax yelled, smiling and disbelieving what was happening. He quickly stood, chased after his boyfriend, clamped one hand on Corky’s right shoulder, spun the man around, and blurted, “It’s a map of Guam, Corky! I want to take you to Guam to meet Carlton Scarborough. I want you to see the island and spend a week or two there with me.” He shook the map open and handed it to Corky, who just looked at it with more confusion.

“Guam?” Corky said. “We’re going to Guam?”
