Charlotte Owens
Standing in front of the company, Charlotte cursed out loudly at the security man who had thrown her out of the company. She was an employee in this company but was fired after a missing file had been found in her office.
Charlotte couldn't guess who must have framed her because she had so many enemies in the office. She had tried to explain to the boss that she didn't do it, but there was no evidence that she was innocent of the scandal she had been framed of.
Today, she was here to collect her salary for the previous work she had done, but she ended up thrown out of the office. Serves her right! She had also done this to so many people, throwing them out of her office whenever she didn't want to see them or she felt like they were too low to talk to her.
"Just watch and see if I don't come back to have my revenge!" She stamped her foot and walked away looking furious.
Where was she to start from now? This was the company she had devoted herself to. She was one of the people who worked hard to get the company to a higher level, but now, she has been fired!
"If I don't make them pay for this, then I'm not Charlotte Owen!" She muttered, she clenched her fist in anger as she glared at the company and walked away. After walking under the scorching sun for some minutes, a mini Cooper passed by her, then reversed back and stopped in front of her. The car's window rewind, a lady's head popped out of it, Charlotte frowned as she looked at her.
"Oh!" She exclaimed mockingly as she stared at Charlotte. This lady was no other than Sofia Adams Charlotte's rival at work.
While Charlotte was hated at work for being a proud lady whose shoulder was always high, she never wanted to have anything to do with low staff and had even one day called them paupers. Since then, the dislike they had for her turned into hatred.
Meanwhile, Sofia Adams was loved by every staff member, they all said good things about her. She was nice and friendly, beautiful and smart but nowhere near Charlotte.
"What do you want?" Charlotte asked as she glared at the lady in her car. Charlotte's car and everything she had, was already taken from her. She was left with nothing except herself and family.
"What do you think I want Miss Owen?" Sofia Adams asked as she sized Charlotte from head to toe. Charlotte noticed a wave of jealousy cross Sofia's face, she shook her head mockingly and wondered what the white dove was jealous about.
"You don't mind if I drive you to your home, do you?" Sofia asked, she looked sincere about her offer but Charlotte, the beauty queen wasn't ready to let a mere beauty drive her home.
"Who do you think you are to offer me a drive home?" Charlotte asked and hissed loudly.
"I was-" Natasha was cut short by Charlotte's rude remark.
"You and I are different people, Sofia . What do you think people will say if they see the both of us together?!" Charlotte yelled, she wondered why the lady could leave the company and come here to offer her a drive, knowing fully that Charlotte was a proud peacock.
"Mind your words Charlotte!" Sofia warned but Charlotte was not done with her.
"Or else?" Charlotte asked and let out a mocking chuckle.
"I blame myself for wasting all my time because I wanted to help you, but you are so ungrateful and your pride will soon be your downfall!" Sofia yelled but Charlotte didn't feel a slight of embarrassment.
"Now that you know I won't get into the same car with a lowlife, can you leave?" Sofia was enraged when she heard Charlotte call her lowlife, she got down from the car and slapped Charlotte across the cheek.
"I curse you Charlotte!" She yelled and raised her hand to slap Charlotte again but it was caught by Charlotte.
"How dare you slap me?" Charlotte asked as her eyes turned cold which made shiver run through Sofia's blood. Charlotte twisted her hand backwards and threw a punch at her face.
"Charlotte Owen!" Sofia screeched as she tried to fight back, the two began to fight and people had gathered and were taking videos of them.
A man came and tried to separate them but the ladies would not stop fighting.
"To hell with you!" Charlotte yelled and punched Sofia in the face, the blow landed on her nose and it started bleeding.
"Charlotte arrgh!" Sofia screeched and tried to scratch Charlotte with her fingers, Charlotte smirked and scratched her own face instead leaving ugly marks.
Sofia cried and stopped fighting with Charlotte, she face palmed her once beautiful face that had already been ruined by the wicked Charlotte.
"Finally!" Charlotte exclaimed proudly as she puffed her chest. "I'm the only beauty in this city," she said and laughed.
"What happened here?" Another man asked, he was in plain clothes.
"A fight broke out between both ladies," the man who had separated the ladies replied.
"Who started the fight?" The man asked again and Charlotte was pissed.
"What sort of question is that?" Charlotte retorted, the man looked at her and smiled.
"It's my duty to ensure peace and unity in the society," he replied, Charlotte scrutinized him from head to toe and hissed loudly.
"Who do you think you are to tell me about peace? you'd better move away before I trample you," she retorted and was about to walk away when the man grabbed her wrist.
"Where do you think you are going, young lady?" He asked, Charlotte glared angrily at him as she tried to wriggle free from his grip but he tightened it.
"Let go of me you-" she was cut short by the man.
"I'm Sergeant Peter," he said and brought out his ID card and waved it across her face. "We'll settle this at the station," he said, Charlotte's nose was flaring in anger but there was nothing she could do as she got dragged by the man with Sofia behind them.
