The blessing of immortality (GL) dropped

One day Victoria's nightmare became reality after the God denied her rights as an angel. But that made her meet a rather familiar woman. Will fate bring luck upon the love between a mortal and an immortal? !notice! This is going to be kind of a slowburn since i want the characters to have some kind of depth. But still it's gonna be worth it!

chapter 2: The mission

,, Let's go" the words echoed in her ears as they all jumped up and released their wings. The calmness in the air suddenly drastically changed and Luna was filled with adrenaline as well as fear. The blue sky looked like as if the color darkened it's state. When she looked below, God was already flying down, Luna furrowed her eyebrows and her lips were suddenly just a thin line, she couldn't deny that she once hesitated, but now her mind was left blank and she followed the God down and down, the wind making it hard to fly though it, till they reached what he said they should, the backyard.

There was a walk path made out of coblestone slightly turning right when reaching the end. Along the path grew trees, with any possible shape the gardener could make with his scissors, all neatly in a row. They looked like the Hall of Honor, almost. Everything was neat and clean, even the smaragd grass was glowing under the sun, no matter how dirty it was. There was a round table hiding behind the trees in secret. The family must have been there this morning, since there were still some stains on the white table cloth.

Monan stopped looking around her, focusing her view on one person and asked ,,Who's supposed to start the fire Your Highness?"

The God had serious expression on his face.

,,If you're capable of it, you can begin, but don't ruin anything Monan" he replied quickly without any stutter like always. He's His Highness after all, so talking in front of people has never been a problem to him. Luna was still looking around and then she saw something, next to the table, there was a stone statue, such a beautiful woman, her hair was long and rested on her shoulders, that weren't covered by a dress. She looked like they just caught her in motion while turning around. Luna couldn't take her eyes off the statue like she was chained to it. Just who is that.

Fifteen minutes went by and they were almost done with their mission in the palace, the only thing that was left was the city. Now Luna was hurrying back to the main gate. All of the rooms that she passed by were empty with no one but emptiness. Everyone was either in the drawing room helping people that got hurt, or in the garden trying to stop the fire from spreading further into the palace, which would cause massive to damages to it. Luna was aware of all the damage that they made, however she couldn't just get back to Heaven now without completing what was said to be needed.

The palace looked really nice and neat inside, everything was clean and bright-shining. They must have had good servants, that were capable. When she passed by a window, Luna tried to not look outside, the panic outside made her feel sick, even if she saw worse things than that.

She was almost at the end of the hall and now needed to go down the stairs and outside. She hurried down and sneakily opened the door, only for it to reveal two possible ways. The God didn't mention any of this, where will she go now? She can't choose the wrong one and get herself killed by mortals. The doors had a tall framing made out of wood and rich looking ornaments engraved in it. Her breathing started to get irregular and her chest moved more than usually. Panic was taking over her while she was in a place strange to her.

Suddenly she felt the feeling of being watched from behind her, Luna turned back and her eyes went through every place, where a possible servant could hide. ,,Just what was that" went on in her head, she was told to not be seen in any circumstances. She made a step back, but tripped over a rock on the floor. What a perfect timing. She flinched when she felt a pair of hands hold her from behind. They held her waist and dug their nails into her skin. She looked down, you could tell the hands belonged to a young woman by the look. She quickly turned and in front of her was a young familiar woman. Luna stepped back and reached out behind her back, pulling a knife out. The young woman flinched at the loss of her waist from her hands and put them back down. Their intensive staring made the atmosphere feel quite heavy. The young woman didn't look like she had weapons and definitely was not capable of hurting someone. Luna decreased her grip onto the knife and asked quietly, still unsure about the situation infront of her.

,,Did you follow me miss? Go back to the palace and don't get involved in things that aren't your business for gods sake" With these words, it hit her. The woman infront of her was the one that had a statue in the backyard. No wonder her stare was that heavy.

,,Who are you? Are you the one that caused the mess up? Are you the devil?" she sighed and after a while she added to her sentence

,,However you can't be the devil possibly, you're all dressed in white with pearls around your neck. Then are you the angel of death? the young woman hurried and said out of her breath, not breaking the eye contact the two women were making though out the situation. She looked brave, but inside she must be feeling fear, it could be seen in her eyes and Luna was good at telling others feelings. Luna sighed and put back her knife, that definitely made the fellow woman scared. A cling sound was heard when she put it back in.

,,I can assure you, I'm surely not here to kill any person that doesn't have to be dead. I clearly have my orders and I'm not willing to break them" Luna said and stepped out of the shadow. The light fell on her now and the young woman looked more calm than before.

She slowly walked to the young woman and bend down so she could be at the same level as her. ,,However...I already saw your statue in the backyard. With this beauty of yours

I can ask, Are you a princess?" she continued while raising her hand and making her way to the woman's hair, lightly tucking at it. Her gaze scanning the woman from head to toe, stopping at her eyes and continuing. ,,Oh you've got quite interesting eyes" Luna put her hand down and lightly smiled. The woman became nervous and turned red at the sudden physical touch. She wasn't used to someone being like this to her.

,,Damn don't get all nervous and say something, your silence is making me mad" Luna walked back to her spot in the shadow and started talking.

,,You're right ...." the woman finally said, brushing her hand over her red cheeks, but realized she doesn't know the name of the stranger.

,,Victoria...and you?" she hesitated a moment before saying this and became loud again, but this time without the angriness, that could have been felt before.

,,Amaya, You were right with the princess, however not for long, I am supposed to take over the country in a month, but with this situation I'm not so sure honestly" Amaya said with a change of tone in her voice when saying out loud the second part. Luna felt guilt smear all over her and looked to the ground. She never thought about other people, when God said it was needed, she thought the people are bad. However now the point of her view changed and will never change to the old one, she used to have. ,,I'm sorry" Luna said quietly, not like before.

,,You're definitely interesting yourself, flirting with me at a time and then being all guilty. You cannot take back what you've done. Just go before I call the guards on you, I don't care if you're the devil or the angel" Amaya's expression was angry now, nit regretting what she said, whether or not it did hurt the other one.

Luna has never felt like this. She always thought her feeling were different than a human ones, she's an angel after all. The feeling of a tear rolling down her cheek was unknown to her as well as the feeling of being in love. ,, I'm an angel, I promise I'm not the devil" was the sentence, that broke the quietness, following a gasp from the fellow woman infront of her.

Luna already knew that she messed everything up at this moment, telling someone her true identity...and her true name. Amaya was true, what she did cannot be taken back. Even if she knew she messed up.

A shattered window was all that was left out of the angel. The last moment that Amaya remembered, was how Victoria spread her wings and hurried to the window, breaking it into pieces. ,,Was it the only thing that was broke into pieces that evening?"
