Prologue

Amelia pov

'Brrring" the annoying sound of my alarm clock reached my ears, "ugh" shut up, I drawled out in a raspy voice

I reached out to it and turned it off... I checked the time and saw that it was just 6:05 in the morning

I got up and head to the bathroom, I took a stare at my disheveled self in the mirror " I look like I have been electrocuted through the night"

"I have always wondered how ladies in commercials and movies get to look like fallen angels when they wake up or while they're asleep" and I get to look like I have been attacked by a raccoon in my sleep ", well I guess that will continue to a mystery;

I brushed my thoughts off and quickly took a bath, brushed my teeth, and got out.

I took out my well-smoothed uniform " I attend a private school that is just a seven-minute walk from my house" The great Crystalline High School"

My parents didn't want me to attend a school too far from home so I was enrolled there because " I am still young"; notice the *sarcasm*

I dried off my body and my hair too; I put my clothes on hurriedly "it's not that am late or something I just love to get ready early for school, I get so excited and jumpy on the inside "

"People found it weird that I enjoy school but what can I say am a weirdo and learning excites me and I can't wait to see my friends too".

I sat in front of my mirror and stared at my natural glowing skin. If there is one thing I care about the most apart from my family is my skin " I use natural beauty products to care for my skin

I combed through my thick curly blond hair or should I say puncturing my poor head, I applied a lip balm and checked out myself " Done" I quipped

I got up, sling my bag on my shoulder, and got out of the room

I checked the time on my phone as I headed downstairs it was just 7:10 am

Mum is already in the kitchen making pancakes, and my mouth waters at the sight

I reached her "good morning, mom," I said and kissed her cheeks

"where's dad"? I asked.... oh dear he had to go out early this morning, he had an urgent meeting you know your dad is a politician he's busy all the time" she said and I hummed in response

Graciela!!!, Valentina!!! get down here right now "mum called my two younger sis downstairs

"coming" they both quipped at the same time

I chuckled to myself as I sat down and my mum shot me a glare

I raised my hands in defense; I didn't do anything". "yes you didn't she said in a sarcastic tone "

Now let me give you an introduction of myself and my family

Hi my name is Amelia Jenkins, the second daughter of Max Jenkins and Laila Jenkins

We're four in total, a boy and three girls

My older brother, the firstborn of the family Liam Jenkins, my elder sis Ashely Jenkins, me as the third and finally Graciela Jenkins

Valentina is our cousin she had to live with us because of some family issues but it doesn't matter because she fits right in with us

Both Valentina and Graciela head downstairs

Valentina is in 8th grade while Graciela was in 6th grade

Liam has gone to further his education in engineering and build his future while Ashley is studying law at NYC

Good morning mum, they quipped together again while giving her kisses on the cheeks

*I snorted in disbelief* " babies my foot"

Amelia!! mum said in a stern tone I just shrugged her off

she served us breakfast and we dived in immediately

My mum is a painter, she has an art shop so she has a lot of free time to take care of us

As soon as I was done I stood up "I gotta get to school mum" bye I said, "take care, my love"..... I looked over to Tina and Ella, their names are too long so I shorted it "you guys better not cause trouble at school today "

They just smiled in return and stuck their tongues out at me

" little devils," I thought and headed out

I plugged in my earpiece and listened to music as I walked to school and in seven minutes I got there, I stood in front of the big school gate staring at the school's name CRYSTALLINE HIGH SCHOOL
