Chapter 22: The Date, Part 2
Cianne was right, everything did look great. Celia had come through for him with an amazing meal, but Tristan knew she would.
"It does, doesn't it? Celia outdid herself." He poured them both a drink. "You're going to love Martha and Benjamin too. Martha is our housekeeper and Ben is our groundsman," he said, answering her question before she could ask.
"Should we ask them to join us?" Cianne looked over her shoulder to the kitchen entrance. "It looks like we have enough."
"Beautiful, and thoughtful." He grinned with pride as her cheeks reddened. Not many of the girls he knew would suggest eating with the help. "I'm sure Celia has left by now. She doesn't live on the property. And inviting Martha and Ben to join us would derail my plans of being alone with you." He served Cianne first. "If you don't like anything here, we'll order something."
Cianne's face lit up with the first bite. "This is amazing," she said, covering her mouth as she spoke.
