Chapter 18 I don't like too much interference in my life

Jack was controlling his anger . "Miss Angelina you should have contacted my assistant. I might not have noticed your call because my phone hasn't been with me " Jack said and looked at Adams who was about to leave the office. Adams caught the lie and helped his boss out

" Yes Miss, I've been busy taking some of his meetings so I had to be with his phone and I couldn't answer the call because of the meeting, I'm so sorry..."

"It's okay you can leave us alone" Angie said with pride and this attitude annoyed Jack.

"Miss Angelina,  I have a meeting to attend in 30 minutes time"

"We can finish the food....." She answered in a rush

"I need to be at the place, the meeting is not in the company."

Angie felt bad , she was trying her best to be close to Jack but Jack was like a closed book which couldn't be opened easily. He took his suit and said "Miss Rockson I want to remind you that we aren't married. I don't like too much interference in my life....I don't leave anyone in the office you can leave " Jack said and Angie came out of the office but left the food. Jack threw the food in the bin when she left the office and went out but he wasn't surprised to see her waiting at the door. She followed Jack but because of her high heels, Jack entered the elevator and left. She felt very angry but still had her head high as she left the company. 

Betty has been in the hospital since morning keeping Henry company. She left to the house to take her bath because she felt she smelled like disinfectants and medicines. After taking her bath, she looked through her clothes and picked a denim jeans skirt and a nice shirt and wore her new pair of shoes. She tied her hair in bun , looked in the mirror and felt good to go . She grabbed her small bag and left the house. As a young orphan girl, she didn't have expensive dresses for gatherings so this was always her way of dressing, with no makeup.

When she got to the restaurant, it was was five minutes to one o'clock. Because she didn't want to be late, she hurried to the room . When she opened the door she was surprised about how big the room was but froze when she saw him , Jack Smith.

Jack Smith stood up when he saw Betty. 'she looks beautiful even without makeup and even expensive dresses ' Jack said to himself. Jack looked at the curves of Betty and thought to himself that even without silicon and revealing clothes her curves were showing beautifully. They walked closer to each other and Jack pulled a chair for Betty to sit but Betty was still lost in Jack's eyes. 

"Have a seat... Betty" Jack said in his deep voice which made Betty shiver. 'he knows my name ' she thought while sitting. Afterwards, Jack went to his seat.

'Betty get hold of yourself, he's Angie's fiance don't be attracted to him . DON'T' she scolded herself. On the other side,  Jack was warning himself not to fall for this woman. Little did he know that he had already fallen for her.
