After Charles really learned more about Deborah ,he realized she has the qualities of a woman he wants. Making making her his wife officially became a very good opportunity. Now he has tried disclosing it to his parents. "She is all I need in a woman, mother." He said.
At first, his mother had conceived it; she wanted to make it open to him but needed him to take the step first, where he would get their support. "Well, son, this has been my dream; I had this in mind before now; thanks for going the same way. She is a good girl and was brought up by good parents. She will make you a good wife," She advised him.
Meanwhile, Charles thought he knew all about Deborah, not knowing that there was more to know. He concluded by disclosing his intention of visit her home.
As he brought this to Deborah attention, she noted that he would surely get to know about Kingston. So she tried changing the topic. "Isn't it better maintain the our relationship, and gradually speaks of marriage?, I know we will surely end as a couple," she answered him.
"I am not trying to be desperate here, my darling; rather, I think it is nice we get to take the both families along, having a kind of closeness and friendship the william's family, and to see where I can help." He pleaded with her again, but she still insists on having things done gradually. "In the meanwhile, how is the contract you have picked? You haven't discussed much with me regarding it." This discussion, was made at Charles mansion. He looked at her and was wondering why she had to change the topic; later, he replied to her concerning the contract.
"For the contract, it is moving well. Before I forget, I am planning to have a branch in Punggol, where you will manage, and though I will give you all necessary support, you have helped me a lot, and the growth of the company has continued to grow since your existence in the company," he opened up to her. Deborah picked out a point in his words and asked.
" If I may ask, do you love me for the progress I brought into the company or for who I am?" The question made him think a while, after which he told the truth. "I loved you for who you are. The reason why I always bring this up is to appreciate you for your support and help in my life. I love you, and I will keep on loving you for who you are." he answered.
Deborah, again, draw closer to him and said. "I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So don't be scared by the question I asked."
As they kept expressing their feelings for each other, they saw from the window Paisley coming towards the door entrance. "This is the lady who came with the aim of splitting us." Deborah recognized her.
He didn't permit Paisley coming to the doorpost; when he quickly went down the stairs, opened the door, and stopped her from entering.
"Eh, stop there, He commanded her. She saw the anger in him and kneeled to plead. "I'm sorry for wronging you; it wasn't in my mind to trespass or come in between you and your Deborah; I was only jealous and desperate. Please forgive me; I am ready to clean up my mess." She pleaded with him.
"You have come to cause more mischief, and in case you forget, I have for long studied your kind and how dangerous you could be, especially when you are desperate, I don't think you are welcome here." He replied her. Deborah seeing how lengthy the conversation is going, went down the stairs to hear from both of them.
She got the door open, and to her amazement, Paisley was on her knees, pleading. " Ah! She exclaimed, "What is she up to, my love?" She asked Charles, her mind beginning to read negative, where she thought Paisley had come to snatch Charles from her. "I know I have wronged you, Deborah, and I once went beyond my limit. I am here now to say sorry and to rewrite my wrongs," Paisley said again. Meanwhile, Deborah didn't see her as someone who is really sorry for what she has done, but rather as someone who wants to commit more mischief.
"Young lady, you are forgiven but not welcome in this home. I should believe I have grant you your request,. Please leave." She spoke.
"I can't leave, just like that; I want to be part of your family; take me as a friend." Paisley requested. The statement gave Deborah Sense of danger over her relationship with Lucas if she should allow her as family friend.
She then applied her with great wisdom by promising to get back to her after discussing with Charles. with full knowledge that such won't work out. "Eh, Charles shouted, before you go, have this right in your head; I don't think your request is welcome. As I have said earlier, leave my house now". He commanded. "All I want is friendship" Paisley kept saying it until she had left the compound. As she left, the two lovers looked at each other and nodded their heads with laughter; they both appreciated the manner in which they had responded to Paisley. They got in and sat on the same cushion. "These are the reasons why I want to unite the family and see that we tie the knot as soon as possible." He told Charlotte.
"It has nothing to do with this, my darling; all we are seeing here are signs of intruders, which we are to defeat by applying love, wisdom, and understanding, and above all, being sincere to each other. I believe much in love, so if you truly love me, as you always profess, you will keep loving me till the end, no matter the Intruders, your faithfulness in relationship determine how faithful you will be during marriage. So learn that. As for me, my heart is made up to be with you." She answered him gently.
He was touched by her words, and here he learned that love superseded all. "Your wish is my command, sweetheart," he admitted immediately. Even going to the point of giving her his words not to cheat on her or disturb her with marriage until she has made up her mind for that.
However, she had been planning on inviting him to Luna marriage, through which he will be able to know more about her and the family. Yet she needed time to go about it.
Meanwhile, her action didn't create an atmosphere of fear or the thought of Charles dumping her once he got to know the truth—that she is the lady he had slept with some years ago, even to the point of having a child for him.
