I’ve respected you for years, but since last June there’s been more. I’ve come to appreciate your drive for self-improvement, the way that you think, and how deeply you feel things and care about people. I’ve come to enjoy your quirks and admire your talents.

“I like you. Fundamentally. I draw comfort from your presence and inspiration from your energy. You make me want to dream and grow. To take chances.” She looked down, then up again. “The problem is that those chances are ones I’m scared to take.”
