At last, Patrick emerged from his extended slumber. The items on his reading table were the first thing that attracted his attention. A jotter, a beauty purse, and a bag were on his room's reading table. He was positive it belonged to just one person because he knew those weren't there when he returned.
But he didn't know why, thinking he was having hallucinations. He felt confident that Phina would follow her word because she had good reason to say she wouldn't see him that day. But did she decide otherwise? He asked himself inward questions.
He got out of bed and used the restroom to relieve himself. What he observed answered his questions and supported his theory. The sheer happiness of knowing that his sweetheart had chosen to see him was beyond words.
