The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress

Zara Hansley had always believed herself forsaken by the gods due to the terminal illness she was diagnosed with. Every doctor she visited had declared she would not live past her 23rd birthday. Yet, when left with only a few months to live, Zara found out that the root of her illness was a curse, one which she could break. Just like that, she was given a new chance at life—she had to scour the earth for the cure in just a few short months or succumb to her fate. Fate, however, was a funny thing—it brought her to a stranger that would alter the course of her life forever, and his life by her. Born to an ancient family, Amir Frostcrown was cursed to bring misfortune to any female around him. Not only that, he was able to hear the thoughts of others, thus further drawing a line between him and other ordinary folk. As such, while these abilities amassed him an enormous wealth over the years, he was destined to live a loveless life of solitude. That all changed when his and Zara’s paths crossed. As someone that was completely unaffected by his curses and abilities, Amir Frostcrown was immediately intrigued by this dying girl. One dream, one vow, and two curses. That was all it took for Zara to tumble from the world of reality into fantasy. Would she be able to find her cure in time? When secrets are revealed, would Zara and Amir Frostcrown stand the test of time? *** “We were fated to be from the beginning!” he amusedly declared as he looked at her dotingly, eyes sparkling and only her image visible in his blue eyes. “I don’t believe in fate!” Zara mumbled softly as she looked to the ground, afraid of facing him and the undeniable truth he spoke of. “But don’t you see?” Amir asked. “Isn’t fate what led us to this very moment?”

CHAPTER 7: ZARA’S BOLDNESS 2

Since it was the first time in five years that Zara was traveling and alone on top of that, the security was top-notch.

It wasn't her father that planned for the security but the mysterious young master Quinn, Zara's favorite brother and the unruly child that Lena didn't like and got a headache when she thought of him, who planned everything.

He carefully chose and trained the young women and men. And it was those people that would be accompanying Zara on her first traveling adventure despite her worrisome health state.

Zara was also the Hansley's princess despite her condition, and everyone knew that Cade loved her. In other words, she was the greatest bait for the Hansley family's enemies.

Those who wanted to make Cade suffer, all they needed to do was find Zara and use her to get what they wanted from him.

Although Zara had been a legend in Kuville for over a decade and many people didn't know her or what she looked like, it was still advisable to be cautious and be prepared in advance.

And since Zara had always lived in luxury and her condition wouldn't allow her to act like a poor girl, she had to travel like a princess. As such, to avoid any troubles on the road, Zara was left with no choice but to bring as many people as she could.

And the majority of them were to keep her safe. Her family had made a lot of enemies and she didn't want to be taken advantage of as well.

So, she might as well equip herself with the best.

There was another RV, but smaller compared to the buses that she had. And that RV was the kitchen, also known as a mobile kitchen. That was where all the food was stored and would be cooked on the road.

Lastly for the convoy, there were six SUVs that the bodyguards would be using to protect her from the side. And all of them were kindly provided by her father, who couldn't say no to her demands.

Apart from the nine vehicles that she would be using in her travels, Zara was very sure that her father, mother and even siblings would be tailing her in many ways.

She didn't care about what they did in the shadows, as long as it didn't affect what she would be doing. The more people that they sent to protect her, the better. If she gets lucky and doesn't get attacked, she would just take it as her traveling in style.

And if she gets attacked, there is still a hidden trump card for her that she could use to save her life. She just hoped that she wouldn't be forced to use it, otherwise, her life would be doomed, followed by that.

And the most important thing, apart from what she was set to do during her travel, was her doing a live stream.

In order to share her wonderful journey and experience, Zara would be streaming most of the journey. It was also her means of comforting her parents' wounded heart.

With her streaming her journey, they would be able to see her and it would even be more than what they did when she was at the mansion.

Her parents couldn't see her as much as they wanted and mostly it was due to her. She didn't want them to see her at all, but now they could do all that.

How wonderful was that?

As she was lost in her thoughts, there was a knock on the door and shortly, Emma walked into the bedroom.

"We are about to leave. If you feel uncomfortable, just press the bell!" Emma reminded her dotingly.

Seeing the woman's motherly affection, Zara smiled at her, though it was weak, before saying, "I will. Don't worry about me," trying to sound reassuring as much as she could.

"Okay. Don't forget!" Emma reminded before she left once again.

Some moments later, Zara felt the bus moving, and the feeling was very novel.

When was the last time she sat in a vehicle that wasn't a wheelchair? She couldn't help but sigh sadly upon thinking about that.

Zara pulled the window's blinds open and smiled blindly as she saw the sun rays that couldn't penetrate the window fall onto the screen. To protect her, her sister went to great lengths to use the best materials. Even though she could see the sun shining, the rays didn't seem to have any effect on her.

Nevertheless, she admired the sun for a short while before her gaze shifted towards the mansion where her parents and the family lived. Unlike them, she had been living in the villa for nearly a decade, secluded from them, and the alienation was necessary. She couldn't blame anyone at all.

Her sensitivity was at its greatest point that even a slight disturbance would cause her problems. It took a lot of will for her parents to build the villa where she staying and put her there. It wasn't different from being sent to seclusion.

However, it was nice, as that seclusion helped her greatly in recovering, or should she say, in prolonging her cursed life.

'I will see you soon, Mom and Dad!' she teared up as she looked longingly towards the couple that were hugging each other standing at the window.

Of course, Zara didn't see that standing in a certain corner was a man dressed in black robes playing with a string of prayer beads wearing a complicated expression on his face while standing next to Bradley who wasn't sure why he was back at the mansion again when everything would have been settled clearly at the office.

'I can't hear your thoughts, little girl! And now you have definitely got my attention!'

Standing against the window, Lena watched as the motorcade of nine vehicles started moving and seeing them driving like that, it started dawning on her that her baby was indeed leaving.

And that clicking in her mind, Lena escaped from her husband's embrace and dashed outside where she stood helplessly as she watched as the RV where her daughter was moved farther away from her view.

"Goodbye princess!" that's all she could say as she watched with teary eyes, her daughter's motorcade leaving her view.

As she stood there, looking disheveled and without a single care about what the servants would think about her, she suddenly found herself embraced in a familiar embrace.

"She knew that we would be worried, so she devised a plan to stop that. Do you want to hear more about it?"
