CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE

ROXANNE'S POV

I woke with a splitting headache; it felt like some football referee was whistling in my head, urging a footballer to kick the ball into my brain. Opening my eyes, was indeed a war to be fought with full armor, for my eyelids were as heavy as ten Goliath.

I took my hands to my head, trying to stop the football match in my head but I only felt the towel-like skin of a bandage, wrapped firmly roumdy head. Feeling extremely disappointed, I allowed the headache to sit and perform in peace.

I scanned the room quietly, taking in the white background and blue curtain.

Where was I? And why the heck was my head threatening to blow up?. I took in a deep breath, and carefully searched for marks that would help me identify my present location. After spending a few minutes scanning and searching for marks, i realised to my utmost surprise that I was in the hospital confined in a bed.
